A republican stating that what bush did was wrong was great to hear, it is about time people start having their own opinions on the matter. we are in a serious war with serious consequences and mr ford just stated the obvious in my opinion, that the current admin has led us into a war that we should not be involved in.

I think he committed to tape what most of us have already been feeling and saying. If we're lucky, we'll get another Ford in office to clean up the mess that's been made.

Everybody is entitled to their opinion. This is still the USA. I think we made a mistake going over there too, but now that we are there we should finish the job and not leave and let more terrorism fester.

We really ought not pretend that Ford was ever really relevant. He's getting alot of coverageand praise now; but that's just what happens when presidents die. What would be better to focus our attention would be the plans of the next Congress to deal with President Bush and Iraq, not what some never-really-was from the early seventies thought.

I think that if even Ford sees through the haze of distorted truths, Anyone who hasn't yet must really be in a very strange mental state

I remember Ford as Pres - he struck me as being a well-tempered, moderate person who was not quick to act. I think him pardoning Nixon dropped his popularity - but besides that, he was ok.

I think everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I don't trust the motive behind any opinion that can only be delivered post-humuously.

It seems to be the chicken's way out.

If you want to share what you think, do so to my face. I don't care what you think after you die.....

Right. Bloody well right.

And let's have no sneering by petty right-wingers that we criticized Ford for pardoning Nixon. This is a different issue. Ford is right. Bush is wrong.

I think it's funny that Ford wouldn't let the interview air until after he was dead. Makes him (Ford) kind of a coward.

I think he gave his honest point of view, but did not want to undermine a fellow republican president!
