Laura Bush bought "Dubyah" a parrot for his birthday.

She told Dick Cheney, "The bird is so smart! George has already taught him to mispronounce over 200 words!"

"Wow, that's pretty impressive," Cheney said. "But you realize that he just 'says' the words. He doesn't understand what they mean."

"That's okay," Laura replied. "Neither does the parrot."

George Bush the name means war, he wanted to go down in history as great world leader no matter what the cost in other peoples lives and taken our debt into trillions of US dollars he has failed us badly as we all should now know. A coward who slipped into Iraq in the dead of night under tight security and out again within hours and back to the super luxury of the oval office while our gallant soldiers stayed to endure hardship and suffering.

Just wondering. I'm considering law as a career, but am somewhat put off by the amount of time everyone says lawyers spend on the job.

We live near the Hyrum, Utah Swift Packing Company....

Our daughter and son-in-law live near a place where people park their cars then take a boardwalk hike up the mountain. Generally, women leave their purses locked in their cars and often men leave everything but the car keys....several months ago, the windows of these cars were being smashed and only purses and wallets were stolen. Signs were posted telling people not to leave valuables in their cars because of robberies...but most didn't take notice as this is an upscale area. The police set up a sting operation and guess what! Illegal Mexicans with a rap sheet a mile long were running this operation. They were selling the information to other illegals....so Pedro became Mike..or Maria became Sarah....

One woman had 6 people using her ID....

Everyone should check their personal financial information on a monthly basis. It doesn't take much time to ruin someones credit and totally screw up their life!

in texas, it seems like most places that handguns are permitted if you have a license, but if you dont have a license then it usually says on the door, 10 years prison and $10,000 fine. i dont know about the other though. what about having a licensed firearm in a place that it is prohibited? which is worst and what is the penalty for each?

I lived in a third world country for a decade. This place had no drug laws. A grandfather could give his 6 year-old grandson $5 and have him go to the store and get him a pack of cigarettes and a bottle of gin. The kid would never dream about trying either one. Adults do that, not kids. Pot helped menstration cramps. I once offered one of my teenaged students a sip off of the wine I was having after class. He was as shocked as if I'd ask him to put on a woman's dress. "Why, Mr.Don! I am a student. Students do not drink!" Amazing. A general heard about the evils of glue sniffing in America. So he decided to make it illegal for kids to purchase model airplane glue in his country. Result: hundreds of dead kids. Why? Because someone said "no". At least THOSE people were smart and repealed the law. W/in 2 years deaths dropped to 0. It just wasn't novel anymore. Why can't we empty our jails, treat our sick and educate instead of incarcerate? Legalize it all and it will fall out of style.

Incidents:
1: For having an installed "modified" exhaust on your car.
2: For having/selling brass knuckles, display knives, etc.

The thing is, when you go buy these things, you don't get a warning from the manufacturer or the seller that the things you're going to buy is illegal. And you, assuming it's legal because you see other people having these things out in the open every single day.... buy/sell it too. Then you get caught by the police and you're totally confused and outraged.

Oh yeah...this guy who works at this liquor store got a ticket for working there while the cops came to confiscate the knives. I don't think that's fair... for just standing there, working there?? He didn't even take part in the transaction of selling a knife while the cops came in under cover...

Manufacturers should label or put warnings on their products... the cops should go after the manufacturers.

What do you think?

My cousin was molested by her stepfather when she was 7yrs old. Now she is 23. She has received psychotherapy for about 2 years, and decided it would only be fair for the pervert to be listed as a perpitrator. Is it to late and old news??or can somthing still be done. Her younger brothers under 18 still live at home with the perpitrator, however, that is there father. My aunt (mother)took the perpitrators side. My cousin only has me and grandparents for support.

I'm planning on suing Bill Gates because he keeps implying I'm stupid. Any time I want to delete a shortcut from my desktop Windows XP acts like I don't know what I'm doing. It tells me that 'deleting the shortcut only removes the icon' and tells me if I want to remove the program to go to 'add or remove programs'. I've used my computer almost everyday for the last 3 years so I've kind of figured this out by now.

I am highly offended by this and I think it's time to make Bill Gates pay for underestimating my intelligence. If I filed a lawsuit against Bill Gates would I have a chance of winning?

As Decarte so aptly put it "Cogito ergo sum" I think therefore I am. If we defined human life as when their is a detectable EEG or brain activity by law, it would allow for euthenization of Brain dead people, and would set an agreeable time limit for legal abortions. There is no EEG until the second tri-mester.
