I am considering moving from Britain to Australia for a year, maybe more if I like it. I've heard that Australia operates a points system where they let you into the country if your total points exceed a certain number. Is there anywhere on the internet where I can enter in my details and find out how many points I currently have?

I am a teacher and 25, so hopefully those nice Aussies will let me in!!

You notice how most of the illegal supporter seem to be absent from the forum today? I wonder why? Could be all that trash they talk about the illegal’s being good people trying to better their life. They really seem like good people huh? They’re stealing American social security numbers. If any of you illegal supporters are on today, do you still support them now that you see what kind of criminals they are?

About 2 weeks ago I got a ticket for doing 65 in a 45 on a parkway type road in Georgia. I'm 17, this is my first offense, and I'd really rather this not go on my driving record. A few people have suggested pleading nolo contendre at court on my court date, including the officer who gave me the ticket in order to avoid getting points on my license. Will that take the points off my license? Will I also have to pay the fine? I don't think the fine is really a life altering addition (even though it's a terrible $158) but my biggest worry is getting any points on my record.

My soon to be ex-wife and I have been running a small business from our home...let me rephrase that I have been trying to keep the business afloat and she has not put an ounce of effort in to the business since it started in July 2006. She has spent business money on a car and things that we did not need. Can I sue her for lack of commitment in to the business, we were supposed to split the case load 50-50 but it was a verbal agreement?

A married couple have been seperated for over 1 year and the wife is now incurring credit card bills in her own name w/o co-signer or spouse. The credit cards were applied for after their seperation and now creditors are calling the husband & father-in-law (probably others in the same area w/same last name too) seeking payments. He is in the process of filing for divorce. Other than property/debt declarations & financial statements filed w/the court in the divorce, can the husband publish a "Legal Notice" with a newspaper under the "NOTICE TO CREDITORS" category that he is not responsible for the debts his wife is incurring?

I see people constantly whining about welfare, I would admit that you actually had a point if I saw you complaining about giving tens if not hundreds of billions to non-taxpaying non-citizens (aka Iraqis) also.

I am a senior in high school, and I want to join the Navy. I don't know whether I should enlist now, or do ROTC however.
If I do ROTC, I’d probably get a scholarship, and I would get to go in as an officer. I would also get "the college experience" of getting a degree on a college campus. Finally, I would get "leadership experience", which is apparently something employers look for. The bad side is that once I'm in ROTC, it's real hard to change my major without losing my scholarship. And if I get a scholarship, I won't get the GI bill to further my education (I want to get more than a bachelors eventually) Then there's the fact that ROTC is extra work, which might take away from my other classes. I would have much less flexibility in choosing my job as an officer. I could also get out of ROTC if I lost interest in the military (not likely, but its good to consider all possibilities).
