What type of visa does she have? Is she allowed to work in the UK, if yes then she should hold a letter of release from the office/agency stating reason for delay before now.

She should have monitored her visa well.

All passegners passports are being checked at the point of exit at all UK airports especially the visa page and personel data page because of abuse by most visitors to the UK, so she most have a very good excuse or be ready to have her name blacklisted by the home office. I wish her luck

If you have to stay long, leave the uk aleast 1 or 2 months before the visa expires, it takes less than 1 week to process UK Visa now in most UK missions currently, the most important thing is maintaining a clean record at the home office.

I'm sure they'll hold the door open for her as she goes. The problem would be any attempt at re-entry.
