I have a friend who was in the Navy. His Ship was an Aircraft Carrier named Kittyhawk. He said that onboard it's like a small City with a Restaurant, Arcade, Barbershop, and even a Movie Theatre. is this true?

Thanks for all good responses to my first question. I dont quite know how this works with follow up questions, but yes the title is signed but my friend has died. I would rather not forge his name to write a receipt, don't know if I should tell the buyer the situation. I dont want to put myself or buyer at risk of fines or problems. Also have two tickets for expired tags. LA has no mercy, car was parked on street in front of my apartment and was ticketed. Will DMV penalize the buyer when he goes to register it? I don't mind bending the law, as my friend gave car to me to cover some expenses I incurred, but I want to do the decent thing and not hurt the buyer, etc. Any more advice? thanks to all

"Sen. Karen Johnson, R-Mesa, said she believes the Security and Prosperity Partnership, being run out of the White House and the U.S. Department of Commerce, is little more than a secret plan to end U.S. sovereignty by 2010. And she said Congress is being kept in the dark until the point that it becomes a done deal.

Johnson, who will head the Senate Education Committee this coming session, said the signs already are there, from an “inland port” in Kansas City and construction of a superhighway corridor through Texas to the lack of any real action in building a wall between the U.S. and Mexico.

“It’s all because it’s going to be open,” Johnson told Capitol Media Services. “It’s all going to be a ‘North American community,’ just like the European Union,” complete with the creation of a single currency just like the Euro. "

What do you think?

Everyone wants to make the government smaller, and cut taxes.

What agencies, departments, or programs do you think would be likely candidates to be eliminated?

During a recent Mafia case, it came out that the FBI has been approved to monitor people via their cell phones. No, not just picking up the conversation via traditional tech. They NOW have the ability to activate (turn on) your cell phone from another location, and listen to conversations around you at tables, in your home, where you work, as long as you have the battery in the phone. Your phone doesn't have to be on, they don't have to notify you, and they can listen to everything you're saying. It's also admissable in court.

They are also able to use the Onstar system in vehicles to listen to conversations in cars.

NEXTEL has said they were not asked, and did not contribute to the technology. Nokia phones are among those easiest to do this with.

My question, do you think this is fine, as long as they are trying to catch "bad guys", or does this blow your mind that you can't even get in your car without worrying about your navigational gizmo being a microphone?

Heres the story: i work in a medical office and i appearently didn't verify a phone number with a client(i work as a receptionist). This was an honest mistake, i simply forgot. One of the doctors called and left medical info on the answering machine which turned out to be a family members number. The party is filing a privacy complaint. Am i in any trouble here or the doctor who left a message without verifing whom they were speaking to?

...The latest fiasco involves some women who sued Kraft because her guacamole didn't taste right. Others include a lawsuit filed years ago against McD's, because some women burned herself (not on McD's property) with some McD's coffee - she was holding it with her legs.
...My thoughts/suggestions:
...Can a judge throw out a lawsuit, and fine the plaintiff and his lawyer(s) for wasting the court's time - and could this include socking the lawyer and client(s) with legal all fees? If this were possible, it could help stop these pathetic lawsuits.
...Anyone else have any thoughts and/or suggestions?

Can the American President be dismissed by one person? if not do you think an Australian style governemt where one person has the power to dismiss the prime minister or president in america would work? Australia has a governor general who repesents the queen and has the power to overturn a government, could this work in america? the only Prime minister to be dismissed was Gough Whitlam in 1975, this was controversial but in the case of negligence or incompetence in George Bush's case could this work?
