Speaking of an oxymoron, I just love 'compassionate conservatives'.
Realistically, you're not any better, there are some republicans who are toleratnt alongside of the democrats. There's also some intolerant republicans and democrats. It doesn't only coincide with one political party.

It really gets me, I am poor so I couldn't really be a Republican?
Not all of the poor in this country want a handout! As a poor American I have noticed that those who know how to cheat the system are the first ones helped anyway. I want my country to have a strong military to protect us from outside dangers. Maybe if some of these programs were decided for fair reasons instead of jumping through hoops only the criminal minded could manage, I wouldn't have such a problem with them.

That depends on what you mean by tolerant and what you mean by liberal. A lot of people I've talked to do not favor either party. I don't either. I'm into freedom and the sovernity of this nation. My peers and I are pro-gun, pro-free speech, reject the North American Union, but we don't agree with this war. I think you should narrow your question down a little more.

Your question doesn't give us much to go on. How about "bleeding heart liberals". I like them a whole lot more than those self-serving, self-righteous, self-absorbed, self asserting, finger pointing conservatives. Those are the guys who still like the war in Iraq, probably like most wars, have never served and probably wouldn't if called on (Bush, Cheney,Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz. I am usually tolerant, except when it comes to chickenhawks). They want someone else to risk the ultimate sacrifice, and they want someone else to pay for the guns and ammo. Maybe in the long run its good that the Bushies have had 8 years. We have had an up close look at what conservatives are capable of. I just hope Hillary can help us recover.

Depends on the meaning of liberal??? Some democrats wont fit Pelosi San Fran values agenda. In the upper Midwest them Democrats likes their Guns, and hate the EPA people. The liberals on the coasts don't represent the interior of the country. Democratic party didn't turn liberal it turned populist that is a lot worse???? Liberals like free-markets and open trade, just want to make the benefits of freedoms are spread evenly. Populists democrats get elected want to fence people in. All take Liberals over populists any day. The republicans libertarians over social cons that are similar to the populists. I like freedom with uncertianity than Security with a lack of freedom for flexiblity.

they treat minorities like retards who need government protection and will never succeed without their handout policies. that is how they remain in power.
theres nothing a liberal hates more than a black or hispanic of stature and intellect.

I think it's clear there are intolerant people of all types. What I think is a shame, though, is that people manage to get through our educational system thinking that it's logical to generalize from a single instance.

tolerant liberal is an oxymoron...i have met so many liberals who are not tolerant of a different point of view...it reminds me of the Islamic imperialist and their intolerant views of the west...
