The major problem with our system is big money controlling the elections and politicians, McCain-Feingold bill was useless, they always find a loophole, K St. is alive and well and choking the life out of America. The House has been run like a fire sale for a decade, backdoor bribes are everywhere, those phoney pacs are nothing but money laundering schemes, until you have true public financing of elections, America will be for sale, until the Tom Delays of the Congress are put away in maximum security penitentiaries, crime will continue to pay.

Do away with the Electoral college.Count all votes and split the electoral delegates. This way if 2million people in a particular state vote for a republican and 1 million vote for a dem then 2/3 of the delegates go to the republican and 1/3 to the dem. Currently the republican would get all of the delegates in that state.1 million votes down the tubes.

Has a nice ring, but it's not really what were all about - in my opinion. We're about individual rights. This is maintained by a constitutional republic.

The of/by/for is more of a democracy; enough people decide it's so, and it's so. 3 on an island may starve, 2 may vote to eat the 3rd.

I hope we can... I really do!

I would like to believe again, in freedom, in democracy...

But right now I am really wondering.

Have we gone past the point of no return????

One thing is for certain, until people start standing up for themselves and making some NOISE they will continue to strip us of our rights and take the power of the government TOTALLY out of our hands and for once and for all place it irrevocably in the hands of the VERY few rich and already TOO powerful nut jobs.

People are just standing by and allowing their rights to be taken away one at a time... this has to end... WE MUST STAND UP AND BE COUNTED!!

we had a really good constitutional government until we let our so called law makers change or ignore our constitution and trample on it until now it would be hard but, not impossible to recoup, our first move would be to kick our Dem's and Reps out of office,I think we should do away with the party system maybe that would work better, one thing I do know is this system is not working for the benefit of the people.

The legal way of course is the first choice that being by voting in people that will not bow to lobbyist activities, those that are there because they are servants of the people and then of course there is the act that got the USA started anyhow and that is revolt.

I agree with Charly B - Do away with the Electoral college. Count all votes and split the electoral delegates. Every vote should count.
