isn't it like they wait 24 hours before they actually start to look for them? i mean, what if in THAT time she's already dead? is there anyway they can change this RULE? (if this is a rule) mmm and also why do they do this? does anyone have good answers or websites that talk about this? like the john ben-nay ram-see case and scott peterson--how long did they take before they started to search for them? (i know it's different for each state in how the police handles this)

With the results of this past election the Republicans were sent a strong message that I think they needed to hear about corruption, spending and getting our act together in Iraq.
However, I have a problem with the talking points that the Democratic leadership put out. According to them, this was the "do nothing" congress and at the same time they say that this congress was a rubberstamp for the Bush agenda. These points totally contradict themselves. For example, one of the things that supposedly earned them the "do nothing" label was the immigration issue. The fact is that this did not get passed is that though this congress was Republican, they definately were not a rubber stamp for Bush. Another example is the stem cell issue that Bush vetoed.

Everyone complains that there are so many illegals crossing the border yet they fail to realize white people are not indigenous to north America. Us native Americans we here first and were stripped of our land yet you do not hear us say send the white people back to Europe. Its time that we work work with our neighbors instead of persecuting them. You try to protect your nation for what its worth but have no idea these "Illegals" turned there back on there nation to pick the fruit you eat each day. People talk about how there is no jobs but yet they will not see a person from America out in the Fields knee deep in mud and manure making a few bucks to feed themselves and their families. How many of you would work in those conditions very few I'm sure instead you would rather end up collecting unemployment until it runs out or going around asking for donations so you don't have to earn your money the hard way. So what makes you so special?

I here everyone now talking about reinstating the draft, and I was wondering, what happens if I want to move to another country when I turn 18? I'm not trying to draftdoge, I just never planned on living in the US all my life. I've always wanted to live in another country, but someone told me that I couldn't or something? Is this true, and how can the US government hold people back from leaving the US? And most people don't want to be drafted, isn't it unfair that there was ever a draft to begin with? I don't think it's very fair to just take people off to fight a war that's totally pointless.

U.S. District Judge Richard J. Leon said the Federal Emergency Management Agency failed to adequately explain why it ended the 18-month housing assistance program for people who lost their homes in the 2005 storm.
~~And now for the fraud some commited against the taxpayers~~
To dramatize the problem, GAO provided lawmakers with a copy of a $2,358 U.S. Treasury check for rental assistance that an undercover agent got using a bogus address.
The government doled out as much as $1.4 billion in bogus assistance to victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, getting hoodwinked to pay for football season tickets, a tropical vacation and even a divorce lawyer, congressional investigators have found.

Prison inmates, a supposed victim who used a New Orleans cemetery for a home address, and a person who spent 70 days at a Hawaiian hotel all were able to wrongly get taxpayer help, according to evidence that gives a new black eye to the nation’s disaster relief agency.

Federal investigators even informed Congress that one man apparently used FEMA assistance money for a sex change operation.

Hi, I currently work for one mobile phone network (lets call it network X) but I had an interview last week for another network (lets call it network Y) however now the manager of network Y store wants me to go into her shop and work for an hour or two (unpaid) to see my selling skills whilst im on my day off from network X before making a decision on whether she wants to employ me. Is this going to be an infringement on competition law?

There has just been a programme on tv, and it was about pro-life, and I just want to see if other people agree with my opinion. I know i may get some answers that are of "hate" but to be honest I don't care. There are the fundamentalist christians in the USA, and they are trying to get abortion banned in some states. I'm sorry, but I strongly believe this view that I am about to say. I know everybody is entitled to their own opinion and that, but yes, you may not believe in abortion (i do though) but just because YOU don't like it doesn't mean you should have the right to change law and get it banned. its just because you want it. children that get spoilt want their own way all the time. this is just like that. can't you just leave it and not believe it? just because you don't support it doesn't mean you have to get it banned. Does anybody else support my opinion???
