Everyone complains that there are so many illegals crossing the border yet they fail to realize white people are not indigenous to north America. Us native Americans we here first and were stripped of our land yet you do not hear us say send the white people back to Europe. Its time that we work work with our neighbors instead of persecuting them. You try to protect your nation for what its worth but have no idea these "Illegals" turned there back on there nation to pick the fruit you eat each day. People talk about how there is no jobs but yet they will not see a person from America out in the Fields knee deep in mud and manure making a few bucks to feed themselves and their families. How many of you would work in those conditions very few I'm sure instead you would rather end up collecting unemployment until it runs out or going around asking for donations so you don't have to earn your money the hard way. So what makes you so special?

All good answers so far some not so much not the ones that don't share my opinion just the ones that give silly answers.
Oh and gokart121 just so you know I'm 100% Anishnabek just in case you were wondering and i never once claimed to be pro-anything I'm just wondering y it is that there is such a big fuss now. The way i look at it if there collecting this money then the people giving it to them should be prosecuted.
I also noticed a thing about dirty jobs well i bet if you look at their pay its more that well worth getting dirty over. But id really like to see you get paid 2 dollars for picking a crate of apples by hand and make a living.
I also noticed this a good share of these people complain that its hurting our country yet the numbers at basic training camps all over the country dropped by allot, how come people cant fill these spots so there not having to call back soldiers that have been out for 20 years, The way i see it is love it or leave it!

woohoo finally someone has the same thoughts on this as i do.... hello people every history book will tell you that the native Americans where here first and that the Europeans ran them out of all their homes... yes, Mexicans came and did the same to the Indians when they took over Arizona, new Mexico and California but seriously how much better is white people than brown people if they both stole this land from the true natives??

edited-what I'm saying is yes the Indians where here first but i do not agree with new immigrants or Americans taking advantage of welfare.. i have three children and can't get any help to send them to preschool because my husband makes a HAIR more than the limit. now my oldest son is behind in kindergarten.
I'm not trying to contradict myself i just don't like to hear white people say they where here first. and i don't like the fact that because people don't work they get hand outs, and the middle class can't get any help at all...

edited- i don't get what is this discussion about dirty jobs? i love the show but i don't understand what you are all talking about? email me..thanks in advance..

Add in quota's and affirmative action and colleges will be nothing more than a majority of minority's. When did ability and achievement become dirty words? BarB is, as usual full of (well you know). The scholarship opportunity's she speaks of are out there. Unless you are white. The NAACP provides for it's own, while the other asinine group known as the ACLU takes care of others. This is just another option of someone who isn't smart enough to pull her head out of her butt when she posts. People like her preach equality right up to the point that it is going to benefit a white person, or even worse a white man then it's a biased program and they scream it's not fair. Let's really play fair. Colleges admit students based on performance not skin color, the govt establishes a baseline cost for books, tuition, housing and dining then offers a 4 year student ed package that is actually based on performance. Offer the program for a max of 6 years and voila we solved a lot of problems and even save some tax dollars. Why won't we do this? Because too many people want a hand out not up. The last moronic thing she said was that students weren't bearing the cash burden which is again BULLSUGAR. The reason tuition fees have gone up EVERY YEAR for the last decade by an average of 6.8% is idiotic funding notions like this.

The Native Americans understood enough to know what was happening to them. That's why treaties were signed to preserve the future of the Natives ,only the whites broke their part of the treaties and only kept the promise to take the land and kill many while doing it by spreading diseases and murdering . There are still millions of Native Americans, but I don't think people are really aware of it. The Mexican people I've met have been very loyal and hard workers looking out for their families.

The land was stolen.

If a person has a job and not an "under the table" job they pay taxes , can't get around that unless it is an under the table job and that is pretty rare.

I'm sorry to say this, but people need to stop bringing up native americans in this problem. There is no similarity. There was land to be taken back then that didn't yet have laws and a culture. It was open for grabs. It's not now. Also, these immigrants haven't turned their backs on their country of origin. They still yell Viva Mexico, still speaking spanish, still going about the way they were in their own country, still waving the Mexican flag while the U.S. flag is upside down below the Mexican Flag. Doesn't sound like they've turned their backs on anything. They've done nothing but exploit this country for as much as they can possibly get. There are 19 million unemployed U.S. citizens in this country. Quite a few lost jobs to illegals. I'm sure there are citizens that will more than happy to take those jobs back. I'm sorry, but just because a U.S. citizen goes to college so they can work an easier job and make more money does not make them lazy. They just take advantage of what's come their way. I'm an engineer and I busted my *** to get where I'm at. I worked and went to school full time. Graduated at the top of my class, and now most of my work is in front of the computer. Doesn't make me lazy, I just realized I would like to be happy with my job. I also am one of the 300 million American citizens that are paying taxes for these people to get free wellfare and medicaid and public housing assistance, and schooling. You've got a lot of anger that you need to chill on. Do some research and see how much of a drain it is on the U.S. economy and compare it to the goods that illegals bring this country. It is very much against them. No more yelling racism, No more comparing to past immigration, and the newest, no more comparing it to slavery. Tell me some facts and I might just listen.

I completely agree with you.

While I am viewed as "white" and a 3rd generation American on one side and 4th on the other, I have native American on both sides of my family and have ALWAYS wondered why people are so short sided as to not see what the white man did to the native people and that America was formed by immigrants.

On my dads side, my tribe from Long Island New York, was not even recognized, because they gave away or had stolen their land, so the government said they no longer existed.

I wonder how the REAL native americans feel about the pro-illegals trying to enlist them in their campaign....Mexico's definitely got a raging desire to play any angle to get in to the USA...legal, or otherwise...and they're not shy about using their people, or the indian peoples, to do that. Shameless, or desperation, that's the question...maybe the enforcement measures are starting to work? Hmmm...

You should watch the TV show Dirty Jobs if you want to see what citizens can and will do. It's on one of those English educational channels (I forget which one). I am part Native American, so how should I divide myself and my loyalties to please everyone?

First of all the reason some people are tired of illigal aliens is because they live of our government, free medical, housing and food, while us blue collar workers, and still cant afford medical but we have to support illegals. Not to mention they have no respect for our country and if you would read about the actual damage they do to our country you would stick your foot in youre mouth cause you sound stupid.
