In a question asked not to long ago a certain person said that babies with deformaties should be aborted.
So we shoudl just put them out of their misery or is there a new agenda to create the perfect race?
Can we say Hitler?

Steve, we do not get pregnant by doing nothing, we are all responsible for opur own actions, if you dont want to get pregnant then protect yourself from such. Its really, really simple.

Actually, this is one of the oldest arguments they use to support abortion. They think kids are better off dead than imperfect.

I didn't read this other question or anything but just reading your question makes me mad at whoever suggested that. Abortion is murder, so do we go out and kill people if they get in an accident and get deformed? It is the same thing, so we shouldn't kill a baby just because of a deformation.
And in response to some previous answers, the problem is not about "protecting" ourselves from pregnancy, the problem is having sex in the first place. We should not be having sex if we aren't married, and that is all there is to it. And, I know for a fact that people can protect themselves and still become pregnant...if you are having sex then you should face the consequences, no matter what your life situation is like, etc.etc...and abortion is murder, no matter if you give it another name, and do we get to go around and kill all the people that inconvenience our lives?
However, there are exceptions, such as medical issues, like the baby maybe living only a day or week, or rape, etc., and I cannot even begin to know what is right in those cases....

First, you can't abort a baby - it is not a baby until after birth.
No, it's not the new argument to support the right to control one's own reproduction. Not once have I seen it used as such by anyone on either side of the issue.
Ethically, I think prevention of suffering is a high priority. Developing fetuses do not have the necessary neurological connections to feel pain until at least the 28th week of development (7 months). So terminating the pregnancy before that time is perfectly humane. The vast majority (98-99%) of abortions are performed in the first 3 months of the pregnancy.
No one is suggesting that deformed fetuses MUST be aborted, only that the option is there. This is NOTHING like what Hitler did. Comparing it is simply ridiculous and pathetic.
The mother is the one who must make and live with the decision.

It's a very tough decision for the family. Many die and don't live long. Is it fair to let a baby suffer because you didn't want to have a burden of guilt? We should let them make the decision.

I doubt anyone other than Hitler would propose such a law.

There's always going to be an argument. Your follow up is what it really comes down to. People don't want to be accountable for their actions. People want to do whatever they want without accepting the responsibility for the results.

i don't it has anything to do with a perfect race. but why continue the pregnancy when you know the baby will be born with deformities and will not live long.
when i say long i mean about a day to a week. some are lucky to last a week.

That doesn't make sense. What will happen to all of their PC beliefs if they do such?
