My son, Matt is in his 4th week of BCT at Fort Sill. All his letters and phone calls have been, for the most part, upbeat and positive. I was actually surprised at the tone of his letters, it's so true that they grow up fast at BCT..however I just received a phone call from his brother. Apparantly, Matt has written his Father and told him that they are deploying him to Iraq after he finishes his AIT at FLW. His MOS is 88M. He said that they are telling the recruits that a soilder is killed every 19 seconds in Iraq and he is obviously freaking out. I don't know what to say to him in my letters now. Obviously I can say, don't worry, it's ok..but really, what can a Mother say to her son that's going to be sent to the sandbox? How can I help to ease his fears while he's still in basic?
He will be home for exodus on the 20th and I don't want to add to his fears..any advice will help.
Thanks!

Hi,
I am writing a term paper for my business law and ethics course about the movie "Thank You for Smoking." My report will give a summary of the movie, and also discuss the legal aspects of material covered in the plot.
I'll have no problems writing about the ethics, however, I need some help finding the laws that relate to the story. I've been searching around for about an hour, and I'm not having much luck.
I would really appreciate some help!
Thank you!

I have asked the bank to release the information of the person who cashed the check but the bank declined and said because of privacy issue. I have also reported to the local police and they did not press any charges. I have the copy of the check and the account of the person who cashed the check but there is no signature. I really don't know what should I do at this point. Could any one give me advice?

Blair and Bush went into Iraq under a pretence of WOMD and the Iraqi people are worse off now than they were under Sadam Hussien and all the bomb attempts in The UK are due to his stand based on lies

1. If you migrate to this country, you must speak the native language
2. You have to be a professional or an investor. No unskilled workers allowed.
3. There will be no special bilingual programs in the schools, no special ballots for elections, all government business will be conducted in our language.
4. Foreigners will NOT have the right to vote no matter how long they are here.
5 Foreigners will NEVER be able to hold political office.
6. Foreigners will not be a burden to the taxpayers. No welfare, no food stamps, no health care, or other government assistance programs.
7. Foreigners can invest in this country, but it must be an amount equal to 40,000 times the daily minimum wage.
8. If foreigners do come and want to buy land that will be okay, BUT options will be restricted. You are not allowed waterfront property. That is reserved for citizens naturally born into this country.

I'm sure this has been worn out, but everyday there seems to be more bluster about "Bush Is A Criminal", or "Cheney is a Ghoul", and "Rumsfeld is awash in bloody oil" ( I promise I heard this last one).

So exactly which domestic or international laws have been breeched?

If your not an Eskimo, but you keep being refferd to as an Eskimo, even when the co-worker has been told to stop because it is not true at all, just because someone is from Alaska, does not automatically make you an Eskimo. So if I went to work and called her somthing horrible like the N word, because she is a black woman, how is that different from me being a Native American? I am not an Eskimo, nor do I want to be called Eskimo, so should she still be working there if she is calling people racial slurrs? How is being called the N word diffrent then being called Skemo? (Eskimo)

dismiss Democratic electoral gains as "pathetic" by historical standards….
In her syndicated column, Ann Coulter claimed that the Democratic Party made "pathetic gains" in the November 7 midterm elections. In fact, the Democrats' gains in the House are just slightly under the average for the party out of power in the White House in the sixth-year midterm elections over the past century, and the Democrats' Senate gains are above the average. Moreover, the 2006 elections were the first sixth-year midterms since 1918 in which control of both houses of Congress switched parties. So why does Coulter see that as pathetic?

I was parked overnight on a street in the city of Chicago. The street became a no-parking zone at 7am, therefore I was out to my car AT 7am to move it. According to both my watch and the clocks in my house and car clock it was 6:59. Yet I already had a $50 ticket waiting for me which stated the time as 7:04am.
How can they say that the policeman's watch was right over mine when it is only a matter of minutes? And, what proof can I show or need to in order to argue this?
This is mostly frustrating because I honestly believe that my watch was not slow but correct and that the ticket is unjust. I am a young working professional and $50 is still a significant amount of money to me.
Thank you in advance for your consideration and suggestions, I am eager to hear your responses.
Very Sincerely, K.
