The corporate owned media, the religious right, the neo-con talking heads, have no dignity in defeat. They will be on the offensive for the next few years trying to slam the Dems for anything they do. Every issue will be a fight--mark my words. Nancy will be the commander of the USS Dem and where she steers the ship, the rest of the fleet will follow.

Anyone that is in a position of leadership will be "attacked" by the other side. It comes with the position. Yes, she does not begin her role until January but politics are year-round. Everyone already wants to know what changes the Dems are going to make. Some people don't agree with those changes, thus their attacks on her.

Attacking Nancy Pelosi is being promoted daily on Hannity and Limbaugh. In fact Hannity stooped so low before the election that his mantra was "do you really want Nancy Pelosi to be 3rd in line for the Presidency". Pretty sad when that is the best Sean can come up with. These people that are doing the attacking only listen to FOX, Limbaugh, Hannity, Coulter, etc. They are being preached hate to each and every day. That is all they know and that is how they respond.

'fear'? Please, we're not afraid of Red Star Nancy. She's just being subjected to the level of partisan scrutiny that Bush has had for the past 6 years.

Why do you have such a problem with it? You dish it out, why can't you take it?

I think it is going to be a cat fight between Clinton and Pelosi for the 08 nomination. Also her support for Murtha was insane.

She is a liberal. I'm a Democrat and even I felt a little weary when she was named House speaker. She is too liberal for my taste and I would've prefer a moderate Speaker. She is only going to be tool for the Republicans to get into power, when she makes a mistake the Republicans are going to pounce on her. It will cost us the majority.

She's 3rd in line for the presidency. Welcome to the club of Ye All Powerful Politicians!!!!

The price you pay for a $200k+/year pension for life as being speaker of the house (yep even just for one session).

Just is.

Son of a gun.... .. .I almost answered this.....until I realized who asked it. BTW. I don't post Democrats s___, as much as I disagree with their point of view, I don't resort to that. Good Bye and sorry I dropped by on your 'hit parade'.

EDIT* - I wish to ammend my response. I think you'll be wiser when you get older, if and only if, you open your mind. A college student, from UCLA ? , who can't spell 'descent'(see decent) for many months on end is troubling, to say the least. Consider this... ..your 'professors' are only 'professing' their views, not FACTS.

from the right or left, from the front or back,
SHE LOOKS SCARY! (its the botox and the fake smile)

She looks scary, but she can't push Lott or Bush around so I guess I am the wrong Republican to ask. NO FEAR HERE!
