Watching genocides?

I think the idea of the UN matches exactly how it handles major problems (genocide in action). Its a great idea that some intellects with great ideas for humanity discuss with great passion and get together and chat about how to make things better. But, then you hand them a decision that requires the violence to matched in order to be humane and they can't do it. Easier to sit on the side lines and Monday morning quarterback than to strap one on and put it on the line.
So, what are the good for? Nothing we shoudl request they relocate to Paris.

Good point. The UN has sat on the sidelines for the 50 years and done absolutely nothing. The last successful thing the UN did was fight the Korean War.
The UN has turned into a huge, socialist, debating society full of corruption that accomplishes nothing. It should be disbanded!

The basic premise behind the UN was a good one.But I do agree they have weakened over the years.
When you have renegade states such as the US and UK ignoring the UN then they should have been sanctioned.
Until the UN stands up I am afraid that things can only go further downhill
