You can give it a shot, but chances are it won't speed up the process. I work for U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and I get people who call me once a week asking about the status of their case. Repeated phone calls or letters won't make me put their case in front of anyone else's. The rule is first-in-first-out. It's going to take some time, so the best advice I can give you is to be patient and realize most Federal workers have huge backlogs in their workload.

If you go to www.uscis.com and you have your receipt number off your receipt of action you can see where you local office is in processing the I485 cases. They do take about 3-6 months. Depending on the background checks, etc. But, I have to agree with everyone else. USCIS does not recognize expedites. I don't think you would like it much if someone else case was excelled ahead of yours so this is why they don't do that. Keep the faith, and it will happen. Just think, you have done this legally and you will reap the benefits. Congratulations.

They completely have self belief that no person might leave them without commiting a poor sin. i might wager the farm she is letting the elders be attentive to what you're saying every time you communicate together with her and it may nicely be recorded. Getting somebody on antidepressants is yet another tactic they use to make you experience greater dependant on them. i'm sorry yet i does no longer placed it previous them to describe on your toddlers which you leaving the employer will reason you to die at armegeddon in order that it scares your toddlers into pressuring you to stay. i'm no longer asserting they might do it, yet i might wager they might try it. they're desperate precise now for individuals. Many many persons are leaving and staying long previous because of the medical care they get after leaving. while they locate which you're commiting a sin they are going to easily circulate away you on my own and announce you have been disfellowshipped. there is not any disassociation anymore. Sorry you're having to circulate by this.

No, bottom line it's the government. :-) Unfortuneatly they get to it when they get to it. Now with the new program that started last year...they have been really on time. They usually send the residence cards by the end of the 3 months. (3 months-the new time limit for new residence). So just be patient and keep checking the status of your application on uscis.gov. Make sure that if you change addresses before you get your card to send in your change of address form. Other than that, not much you can do but wait. Good Luck.

I don't think there is anything you can do to speed up the process. Actually I have heard that if you write them a letter, that puts you farther behind because they don't like people bothering them.

The letter will be a waste of time, when ever things are being processed, its very difficult to find out who is handling your case, and if its not part of the initial paperwork, they will just "circle file it".
