Never voted before (I know, that's horrible). I've recently decided that I have no right to complain about the government, if I don't put my two cents in. So...when is it too late to register to vote in California? (Not sure if it matters what state I am from).

A lot of people suggest giving all illegals citizenship will solve the problem because there will be no more illegals. Would that really help? Aren't there reasons people have to follow laws when coming to America? Can you give me some reasons why there are immigration laws? (please don't answer if you plan on saying they serve no purpose, they are there for a reason.)

I have even been sent race hate packs from the police to help me deal with it all i did was cross the border from Scotland to a place that has done nothing but show me how nasty people really can be!All i want is to move anywhere than this place i will miss the nice people that i have met here but there are so few that i am not that bothered it is sad you can be victimised by people due to your accent also they are parents who teach their children how too insult also.I can't move as i am aggraphobic & i feel that this council will never let me leave & as i am not a minority i will die in a place that i have had really bad things happen to me due to my accent?I don't know how to move as i am on housing benefit due to illness i receive benefit!

The police haven't done their part in this. When I called the accident in I reported his plate number and told them that he was drunk! They didn't even try to catch him while he was still on the road. Now that time has passed and we recieved the police report , it shows no insurance and no phone numbers. I have kept in contact with the police department and finally got them to give me his phone numbers. I would like to see a drunk driver off the road, but know that it is too late now. What can I do to make him think twice about getting behind the wheel drunk again?!

UCSC parking officer gave me a ticket for erasing the mark on the tire of my car (They mark your tires to tell them how long you park there) ...i didn't erase the mark, i just moved the car to another parking space. i appealed but they rejected my appeal buy saying you cant move you car around ...WTF should i do?

We had read that Green cards for certain category of workers in the US is processed at a much quicker rate than others and that working at the university in the US as a professor was one of them.The application for Green card was sent via the university and was sent April 06.On enquiring at the univ. we were told that currently applications from 2002 were being processed.Is there a website where we could go to find answers and get numbers we could call and talk to someone at the Immigrations or Homeland secuirty dept as we are not sure who handles the immigration issues now.
