I have even been sent race hate packs from the police to help me deal with it all i did was cross the border from Scotland to a place that has done nothing but show me how nasty people really can be!All i want is to move anywhere than this place i will miss the nice people that i have met here but there are so few that i am not that bothered it is sad you can be victimised by people due to your accent also they are parents who teach their children how too insult also.I can't move as i am aggraphobic & i feel that this council will never let me leave & as i am not a minority i will die in a place that i have had really bad things happen to me due to my accent?I don't know how to move as i am on housing benefit due to illness i receive benefit!

My boyfriend is English. I'm Welsh and we live in Wales.
He has had a similar experience. Neighbourhood kids keep scratching and damaging his car and he was beaten up outside a chip shop on the night of an England/Wales rugby international by some stupid valleys boys who thought it was their patriotic "duty" to attack an Englishman.
Four of them against one Englishman Makes them seem really big eh?
Its made me ashamed to be Welsh to be honest.
We have considered leaving Wales - I would be very sad to as all my family and friends are here but I honestly feel that these nasty little people are trying to push not only him out (for being English) but me also (for being with him!).
He is an obvious target for these scumbags as he has a strong cockney/London accent which makes him stand out as soon as he opens his mouth.
The police won't do much about it though. Its not considered "race" hate by them because he's not black or asian.
It makes me despair of people to be honest.
The funny thing is these morons don't even know why they "hate" English peopel. I studied Welsh history at Uni and could tell them all they needed to know as regards English and Welsh dealings over the centuries. These people know nothing - they were told by someone somewhere that the English had been "nasty" to the Welsh (actually it was the Normans in the middle ages) and just assume that means that be a be a "good" Welshman you have to persecute and be horrible to English people.
Try to hold up head and not allow these scumbags to get you down. You are not alone in suffering this.

iThey are actually not seen a minority? In Asia they are not. There are somewhat some Asians in Asia. in fact i could bypass as far as to declare that throughout the time of Asia, Asians are maximum individuals! everywhere else, they could be a minority.

welcome to the real world.stop complaining.you are not a victim.i have lived in Scotland people there are not so great either.I have a friend who has endured verbal and physical racist attacks because he is black and married to a Scottish woman.he weathered the storm.still married after 25yrs.he is still black,has an accent so thick it fills up a room but he is still hanging in there.whats your problem.at least when you shut up nobody knows you are Scottish.At least you receive benefits.some of us have to work for what we have,

call the local a.c.l.u. i know it is the American civil liberties union, but i have heard they also operate outside America.
