It's their only way of instilling fear and creating doubt. If enough voters are 'afraid' that binLaden is still at large, they might believe the Republican line about how safe they've made our country! -RKO-

Actually it was the Democrats who brought Osama out of the closet figuring they could keep the pressure on the White House and the Republicans at the time. It back fired and then Bill Clinton got tagged for his mismanagement of the BinLaden debacle. For 8 years Clinton refused to pull the trigger on him, there were up to 10 recognized verifiable opportunities to have taken BinLaden to Allah, but Clinton would not do it. Now Clinton is upset because everyone found out he screwed the pooch and is trying to blame Bush, who had no more than 1 chance in 8 months as President before 911 to take him out on some little Island called Bora Bora out in the middle of nowhere. Bush dispatched soldiers to Bora Bora but by the time they got there Bin Laden was already gone about 1/2 an hour. At least Bush tried to get him, Clinton didn't and wouldn't. E.

why do liberals not have any idea? Bin Laden Has always been searched for. You guys cannot win now or ever. Even with all of the problems . You cannot mount a good defense and will lose again. That's gotta suck.

You uninformed partisan dolts make me sick to my stomache. Instead of discussing the issues or trying to be a part of solving our problems you choose to cast aspersions..... just like many Democratic party candidates.. Fortunately, the majority of Americans can see through their smoke and mirror campaigns. Bush is gone in two years, how about we find a GREAT leader from whatever party who can address the issues with REAL solutions. In the meantime, how about a Congress and Senate that are working FOR America instead of playing partisan political games.
In the meantime..you are a blight on America.

you play to your strengths, not your weakness. the nation, though divided, leans towards seeing the war on terror as a strength and the war in Iraq as a weakness.. so they will try and downplay Iraq and talk about terror. since the democrats are not in power these two issues have not been aimed at them so they don't have a strength/weakness debate in this area, so the only strategy for them at this time is to give their ideas on what to do and focus on Iraq, the republicans weak subject.
