That one that came out of the closet doesn't count, because no one knew he was gay.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows of a known gay guy being elected as a mayor/governer.

I look up 'gay governer' on google, and I'm seeing all kinds of results for the one that came out of the closet.

But yeah, it would kind of suprise me to see a dog elected for major in a small town, but never a gay mayor?

Why? It's not the end of humanity!
According to my Pastor, the end of the world will never happen. Humanity might "disappear" when the sun fades out... that won't be for another billion years. So, nothing to worry about. ^_^

I really love Japan. ^_^

Are they actual speed limits or are they just safety guidelines. If they are actual speed limits do they go into effect at the curve or intersection or do they go to effect at the sign? After the curve does the original speed limit go back into force? Can you be ticketed for speeding around a curve at higher than the posted yellow sign? Just wondering....

..my flatmate has had problems with her (our) landlord since we moved in. She received got a copy of her tenancy agreement when I asked her if she had one and she requested one - it's taken till her last week of her tenancy to actually get it (!). Plus, she thinks she's been ripped off.

But the thing is- she's south african, she's not a UK citizen. What effect does this have on tenancy rights? And whats the best place to start if you want to get serious help in contesting the decision of the landlord? I'm definately out of my depth here and I want to refer her to some place which can handle these problems..

It's just a basic shorthold tenancy, a room in a house job. cheers for any help.

I took a quiz. It said I should be Libertarian, which is nice, but it also seems to be throwing away my vote as their candidates won't get elected. So if I want my vote to go toward a government that stays out of my business both money-wise and personal-wise, who should I go with as between the Republicans and the Democrats? And I'm not particualrly interested in the Foley scandal.

Japan is a nation a fraction the size of Mexico, with zero natural resources, that suffered a devastating war of four years that included two atom bombs, but it has reached the highest in educational achievements, technological advancements and economic power. Then there is Mexico, a much larger nation that has suffered no wars since the Revolution, is rich in natural resources and hard-working people, next door to the most powerful nation in the world, but its only achievement is becoming the most corrupt nation in the Western Hemisphere and digging drug tunnels into the U.S. What say you?

My parents have Green Cards thanks to me. Now that they are legal resident, they don't want to stay here anymore. They lived in their country for about 11 months and one month in US. Last time when they came back to US, the immigration officer warned them that their GC will be revoked if they failed to live in US longer than six months. Well, my parents are elderly, and they really can't get used to the lifestyle here. They just want to keep the GC so that they can come visit us without having to apply for tourist visa..... it's almost impossible to get tourist visa from where they came from.
I researched a bit and found out that they might need Travel Document. It will allows them to leave US for more than two years without getting their GC revoked. Is that true?
Please help....
