Don't you think that illegals are ruining our system with not paying taxes and using our hospitals and schools and roads etc, etc.?? If they became a state we would get to use the natural resources like oil, gold, silver, iron ore, and many other minerals that we prize. They would get a better government; and we would grow in wealth. We would become less dependent on the Middle East. Sure it would be hard at first, but there are always growning pains. Face it. We are losing the battle now. They are simply taking us over by breaking all of our laws.

Do us a favor and unplug your computer.

Why would we begin to consider that?

Mexico has a radical idea for a rational immigration policy that most Americans would love. However, Mexican officials haven’t been sharing that idea with us

Mexico, which annually deports more illegal aliens than the United States does, has much to teach us about how it handles the immigration issue. Under Mexican law, it is a FELONY to be an illegal alien in Mexico

The Mexican constitution strictly defines the rights of citizens – and the denial of many fundamental rights to non-citizens, illegal and illegal. Under the constitution, the Ley General de Población, or General Law on Population, spells out specifically the country’s immigration policy.

If the United States adopted such statutes, Mexico no doubt would denounce it as a manifestation of American racism and bigotry.

While that would eliminate the immigration problem, it would cause other enormous problems. We'd have to bring the entire "new state" up to speed with the rest of the country as far as infrastructure, health care, and even the legal systems. The costs would far outweigh the benefits.

Secondly, Mexico wouldn't be willing to become part of the United States.

I don't think they want to become a state. I think they want their two states back, i.e. California and Texas, with the current economic conditions in both! That would solve the problem until both of those states become bankrupt, then watch out Arizona and Nevada. Battle of Vegas!

It'll never happen. Besides, why would we want all the problems inherent in adopting Mexico as a state-poverty, illiteracy, drug culture, corrupt government, pollution? We've got enough of our own problems, which we can't seem to take care of...

YES! Make them pay the same amount of taxes everyone else does!

The only problem would be the amount of poor people there. But V. Fox doesn't give them welfare anyway, so they won't miss it if we don't either.

The same with helthcare. They get the same quality healthcare they do now.

Actually, instead of another state, can we just take them over and force our will on them? It would be much easier.

Congress would not allow it because it means the people would need to be treated with dignity, respect and be eligible for the minimum wage. We don't want a successful Mexico or affluent neighbors; we want cheap labor.

Our next state should be Canada. In fact each province should be a state. Mexico can be a state when they speak English.

It would be a disaster. There wouldn't be a Mexico, so there wouldn't be Mexican restaurants anymore. They would become American restaurants. You would have to go to an American restaurant to get a taco. So where would you go for a burger? Would Denny's have to start serving Margarita's? It would be anarchy. ANARCHY!!!!!!

It won't solve any problems. Sure it will seem like it at first, but then it will drag down the US economy to below where we are now.
