That one that came out of the closet doesn't count, because no one knew he was gay.
I'm just wondering if anyone knows of a known gay guy being elected as a mayor/governer.
I look up 'gay governer' on google, and I'm seeing all kinds of results for the one that came out of the closet.
But yeah, it would kind of suprise me to see a dog elected for major in a small town, but never a gay mayor?

After searching yahoo answers, I found one that mentions San Fran mayor being gay. I guess I'm not suprised by that.
I'll give best answer to whoever lists the most gay mayors I suppose. :P
This question has triggered interesting dinner table talk at my house. Lol.

Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada had a gay mayor by the name of Glenn Murray, who was out the whole time.
I miss him.

There's been a few of them.
Barney Frank is gay.
The mayor of Berlin is gay.
The mayor of San Francisco is gay.
It's a new world out there. And someone's sexual preference doesn't bother me at all.
