With an economy that is doing well yet average wages are down (meaning that the richer are seriously getting rich while the middle class is disappearing), fighting a war we can't ever hope to win without mass genocide (not a bad idea mind you), openly corrupt politicans who care more for power then the people, an apathetic populace more concerned with Bradjolina then the fate of their nation, a border that is not only erasing jobs but our culture as well, we haven't had a decent president that unified a people since Kennedy, a nation so divided that you can now show the separation on a map, the global market place beginning to beat us, and the fact that every civilization before us fell for these exact same reasons mean that the sun is setting on the United States as the dominant power and perhaps as a civilization.

Of course, he was exulted and proud of our nation during these times:

The President rapes at least two women, and settles a sexual harrassment suit and lose law license.

President signs NAFTA, essentially ending the textile, polymer, manufacturing industries in the US, allowing corporations to exploit cheap labor in Mexico without all of the social hassles.

President signs China as a most favored nation. Now, the trade imbalance is in the hundreds of billions

President sells secret missile technology to China

President signs "Don't Ask/Don't Tell" policy, once again using our military as a political toy

President reduces our intelligence and military capabilities, at a time when radical islam is obviously a global terror threat. Of course, we are assured that he was busy having conversations with Richard Clark. That'll show Osama!!!

Did nothing after Bali bombings

Did nothing after Saudi tower bombings

Did nothing after WTC1 bombing

At my school we a kid care for some of the classes for school so there were 4,5,6and 7 yearold kids crying for their mom. I had a police officer pushing me because I told him that if I din't get out of there I was going to run. We had homeland security and military forces there to. 'We the people' need to axamine Allen's past and his present which seem to correlate very tightly. And why do we need to do this.

Had 'we done so before Bush got elected we would not be such a fractured and deeply divided nation as we are now. There would not be this corruption of religion by the republicans for political gain. There would not be this unending use of religion to suppress the 241 million who did not vote for Bush and yet are trapped in this stranglehold of Republican hate that has so damaged our political system where we now have a ONE party system, no 'system of checks and balances' and therefore no more democracy.

It is just amazing how much crime and corruption can be committed by those who claim to be christians, just as georgie boy claims to be Jesus Christ, and yet those crazies still vote for him and will continue to do so election after election after election.

His using the "N" word is relatively unimportant, it's how it affects his politics.

Altoona latest to approve illegal immigrant crackdown
9/27/2006, 11:53 p.m. ET
The Associated Press

ALTOONA, Pa. (AP) — City Council members on Tuesday night approved a measure aimed at cracking down on illegal immigrants by punishing companies that hire them and landlords who rent to them.

The council voted 6-1, with member Matt Garber dissenting, to adopt the "Undocumented Alien Control Ordinance" proposal, which is similar to a measure passed in Hazleton earlier this year.

Before the vote, members heard passionate testimony from people for and against the ordinance.

"Who will take care of the people made homeless and unemployed?" asked The Rev. Luke Robertson, Catholic Charities director. "What might passing this kind of ordinance do to the soul of this city?"

Businessman Greg Sheehan, however, said the measure could keep problems such as depressed wages and crime from reaching Altoona, a city of about 47,000 that is 85 miles west of Pittsburgh.

"It's coming," he said. "We need to stop it before it happens."

The vote came a couple of weeks after a Blair County jury recommended that Miguel Padilla be sentenced to death for the murders of three men outside a city nightclub last year. Immigration authorities have said that Padilla, 27, of Gallitzin, had been in the country illegally from Mexico since he was about 9 years old.

Garber said he was concerned about how the ordinance would be enforced and the risk of litigation. He said he favors the employment provision but is not sure the rental provisions give landlords enough time to evict or enough tools to determine legality of renters.

Representatives of the Roman Catholic and Episcopal churches, the American Civil Liberties Union and some community activists had asked the council to table the ordinance. Bishop Joseph Adamec of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown earlier said that if it was passed, there should be a "grandfather clause" allowing poor families to get help if needed.

Since the Hazleton vote, more than a half-dozen communities in eastern Pennsylvania have either passed or considered similar crackdowns on illegal immigrants, as have a number of municipalities around the country.

Hispanic activists and the ACLU sued to overturn Hazleton's illegal immigrant law, but the lawsuit was rendered moot earlier this month when the city passed a replacement law designed to better withstand a legal challenge.

Ok, my husband is being deployed although he is still at his mobilization station currently. His MOS is a 91 whiskey(medic) and he was told they were going to do a background check on him to get him some security clearance. I just found out yesterday that there was a warrant issued for his arrest last week because he failed to appear in court (he couldn't have gone to court anyway, he has been gone for 3 weeks!) and our attorney knew nothing about this and is supposed to be checking into it. My question is...if the Army finds this warrant (that my husband knows nothing about, I didnt want him to worry...) will they send him home to pay the consequences??

Mother seeks $100 million in son’s death

By Phil Ray, pray@altoonamirror.com

HOLLIDAYSBURG — The mother of a man killed in a triple homicide last year plans to sue the federal government for $100 million, court documents state.

Sandra Miller of Altoona is the mother of Stephen Heiss, who died Aug. 28, 2005.

Miguel Padilla was convicted and received death sentences this month for killing Alfred Mignogna, owner of the United Veterans Association building; Fredrick Rickabaugh Sr., UVA doorman; and Heiss, a patron.

The jury wasn’t told that Padilla is an illegal alien.

The civil lawsuit notice, filed by attorney Art Cohen of Hollidaysburg, blames the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement for allowing Padilla to remain in the United States.

Padilla, 27, came to America as a young boy with his mother and brothers to escape an alcoholic father.

He graduated from Penn Cambria High School but never became a U.S. citizen.

He was involved in a stabbing incident in which the victim was his then-father-in-law.

ICE never took Padilla into custody or attempted to deport him.

U.S. Rep. Bill Shuster, R-9th District, spoke of the case on the House floor, saying ICE did nothing about Padilla.

Most of the money sought is for punitive damages because the government did not take any action that could have prevented the homicides.

An attorney with ICE declined comment Wednesday. ICE has asked Cohen to provide it with more details concerning the Padilla case.

Those were different times. We live in todays world! You cant compare the times of pilgrims to todays illegal immigrants. We have different laws. A different country. Everything is different. Is it so hard to understand that ILLEGAL IS ILLEGAL! Who cares about history? Who cares if the mexicans claim they use to own Texas. Guess what? They dont NOW!!!!!!!!!The truth of it all is that illegal is illegal. Its that simple. Start acting like you really want to be an American by following our laws, and shame on you all who support crimianl activity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
