A New York Times/CBS survey released two days ago drew fairly wide attention for some of its big-issue results, concerning the president's approval rating, the party most favor in the November elections, what should be done about Iraq, and so forth.

I don't understand why ethnic groups celebrate diversity over unity. Seems like racism to me. I read Richard Lamm's speech and I am surprised that people are so ignorant. The speech can be found here: http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/lamm.asp
Any ideas why?

I hear a lot of people getting a felony record for downloading child porn, but when I was watching a story on John Mark Karr, they said it was only a misdemeanor for him downloading child porn????

It can't be a state thing because downloading child porn is a federal thing (internet crimes are always federal).

stronger ally in Europe, like the West Germans? Is the languague connection the only reason why the US got themselves lumbered with a B class power like the UK in Europe? Imagine if the US had had the efficiency of the Germans behind her as an ally throughout the past few years...the world would be a lot more secure

If you had to choose one person of the 3 choices to eat dinner with who would it be?

1. A Italian Mobster that robs from the rich, and gives to the rich?

2. A multimillionaire televangelist that robs from the poor and gives to his rich(himself)?

3. Or Newt Gingrich-that wants tax cuts for the supposedly oppressed rich, and wants to cut social programs for the poor, and reopen orphanges?

PS-I'd choose the Italian Mobster-EVEN THOUGH THE MOB DOES NOT EXIST. The Italian food would be good, and the evening would be entertaining. He'd rob me, but at least I'd know it.

The televangelist would rob me while my back is turned, and Newt would eat all my food!

Cindy Sheehan has not even taken the time to properly mark her sons grave that she supposedly is mourning so desperately...the same son she gave up custody of many years ago in a divorce AND is doing the same thing right now with her second son...it's hard to find time to be a mom AND lick the testes of America hating dictactors too!
Sean Penn is a washed up nobody who might have a high school education who insists on blurting out his America hating B.S., war criminal President, poor poor innocent terrorist nations....frankly I would rather drink stomach bile from a bendy straw freshly upchucked from a $5 hookers mouth than listen to ONE more word from his mouth.
I dont know, I pick Sheehan I think.

One thing I've heard called for repeatedly by liberals that I DON'T expect the liberals in Congress to do is actually impeach Bush. Even if they get controll of both houses of Congress I'm betting they won't even attempt it.

To do so would expose all the things they agreed with Bush on and those who remained silent about things they disagreed with. Those who agreed with Bush would be damned for agreeing and those who didn't object would be damned for not speaking out. The Liberal Democrats couldn't withstand the exposure of the facts.

Couple that with the fact if Bush was ousted they would have Cheney to deal with. Even IF they felt justified I don't think they will do a thing. They gain nothing and waste a lot of time, energy. and political capital.

What does that mean now that so many American men who should be here aren't?

And again, how many civilians were killed at our hands, and how much did we only provoke the N Vietnamese into going in and committing one of the worst genocides of this century in the wake of our finally leaving?

How sure are you that Iraq isn't just another government venture for their own dubious reasons?

If a copy pulls him over to give him a ticket for speeding or some minor violation, will he be breaking any law if he responds, "Yes, officer, I absolutely acknowledge that I deserve this ticket, and I will gladly pay it. I'd like to ask you something completely unrelated. Would you consider allowing me to give you a BJ?"

I told my friend that he might end up getting bashed, but I wasn't sure if he would be breaking the law. Anyone know?

Bin Laden Already Dead?

Source: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,41576,00.html

Date: Wednesday, December 26, 2001

Usama bin Laden has died a peaceful death due to an untreated lung complication, the Pakistan Observer reported, citing a Taliban leader who allegedly attended the funeral of the Al Qaeda leader.

When you hear a threat which is "probably" made by bin Laden, just remember that he's "probably" dead.

Also think about who benefits from your believing he's alive.

The Central Intelligence Agency has closed a unit that for a decade had the mission of hunting Osama bin Laden and his top lieutenants, intelligence officials confirmed Monday. The unit, known as Alec Station, was disbanded late last year and its analysts reassigned within the C.I.A. Counterterrorist Center, the officials said. [New York Times 07/03/06]

No use hunting for a dead guy, right?

My friend just got back from Iraq tuesday of this week and he does intelligence. I talked to another soldier and they said they get to go home one day after they land at thier base. But it is already saturday and he hasnt been able to leave yet cause of briefings and meetings. Is this normal for them? How come the one soldier i talked to left a day when he got back but my friend is still on the base doing all these meetings. Is it cause of his higher rank? All i wanna know what is the basic thing a soldier does when he gets back. Thats all i need help with. Thanks

But I say, "I've made all the beds, washed the dishes, did the laundry, and cleaned the floors; I've done all the work you don't like to do. I'm hardworking and honest (except for breaking into your house). Not only must you let me stay, you must also add me to your insurance plan, educate my kids, and provide these benefits to my husband, too (he will do your yardwork, he's honest and hardworking too--except for that breaking in part). If you try to force me out, I will call my friends who will picket your house and proclaim my right to be there! It's only fair, because you have a nicer house than I do, and I'm trying to better myself. I'm hardworking and honest...except for, well, you know. I will live in your house, contributing only a fraction of the cost of my keep, and there is nothing you can do about it without being accused of selfishness and prejudice.

Oh yeah, I want you to learn my language so you can communicate with me.

Good plan..don't you think?

If Quebec were a dictatorship & Egypt invaded, putting in their own government & occupying the major cities, then had to put down guerilla fighters. This included Americans who decided to join in the fight. Evidence of whatever-Quebed-was-supposed-to-have-done never comes to light. Egyptian forces torture their POWs. The death toll rises into the tens of thousands, with no end in sight. Power & water for most of Quebec is out. Some Egyptians start calling for obliterating the Christiano-Fascists that threaten Islamic culture. Then Egypt begins demanding the IRA disarm or maybe they'll invade Northern Ireland, demanding to know why the Pope hasn't condemned Christiano-Fascist terrorists.

Does this scenario help explain how the people of the Middle East might feel about US troops in Iraq?
