What does that mean now that so many American men who should be here aren't?

And again, how many civilians were killed at our hands, and how much did we only provoke the N Vietnamese into going in and committing one of the worst genocides of this century in the wake of our finally leaving?

How sure are you that Iraq isn't just another government venture for their own dubious reasons?

Vietnam was before I was born, but it was started by a Democrat President so I don't understand your reference to Cons.

In spite of all the bashing your question is going to elicit, it's a good question.

But, don't forget, it was a Democratic president and a Democratic Congress that got us into Viet Nam. Blame them.

Republicans, for all their tough talk and sabre rattling, don't often get us into real wars. They tend to see the world as a much more dangerous place than the Democrats do, and our enemies as much more frightening. That is why Reagan's bunch went after Libya instead of Syria (Syria was close to the Soviets), and Greneda instead of Cuba. It's also why the Reagan, Jr (Bush) bunch was so willing to start a war with little Iraq. If they had really believed Saddam had nukes, it never would have happened. That's why North Korea was so quick to claim both nukes and long-range missles.

The worst part of Vietnam was the fact that it used the draft.

Today's soldiers are enlistees, volunteers. There is no moral equivalency.

The best part of the Vietnam war is that it showed the USSR that America would not stand by and allow them to dominate planet Earth.

History has proven that despite the loss of good people and innocent lives, this was the only way to ensure the freedom and even the survival of the world.

many people screamed things like "warmonger" and "babykillers" back then, but most of those people are now only free because stubborn jerks of old men (our leaders) stuck to their guns.

Enjoy your freedom kid.

No, they can't handle the truth and, even if they could handle it they are too stupid to figure it out.

And, even if the could handle it and could figure it out, they could never admit it - because they are criminally insane and pathological liars.

Iraq will, ultimately, be worse and cost more American lives than Vietnam because we have further destabilized the most volatile region in the world and will pay the consequences for decades to come.

Actually it was Eisenhower, a Republican (although a good one who created the term and warned us about 'the military-industrial-complex'), who first drifted in VN.

Just because you were not alive them does not mean you have to remain ignorant about it. Try reading something not written by Con criminals (why do you think they call them CONS?).

You must mean started by a Republican and lost by a republican, right?

That's right - for all the Republicans tough talk and comparisons to WW II, they were the ones who did not want to enter the war and fight Hitler or Japan. Their poistion was .."it's not our problem, let them fight it themselves"

FDR had to drag them kicking and screaming in the WW II.

They are great at talking-the-talk - they just do not walk-the-walk.

Reagan grew to become into for the 1st & 2nd amendments. Pres. Obama is against the 1st & 2nd amendments. Why is that hypocrisy? Secondly it grew to become into Pelosi that called the folk conversing out against the well-being Care Reform bill, "Nazi's and donning swastika". Pelosi usually called everybody it incredibly is against the HCR bill is UN-AMERICAN. then you definately've Van Jones that mentioned "Mao Tse Tung is the superb chief ever." "some people could parent which 2 or 3 Senators could have a poor days, till they act suitable." "Republicans are azzholes." So, why is Van Jones nonetheless employed by making use of u . s . a . of yank with those form of comments? Why is Pelosi no longer been reprimanded for call everybody (over 70% of individuals are against the HCR bill) Un-American? Why would not the White abode checklist each and all the Czars, their positions, income and who they record to? did no longer Obama mentioned for the period of his campaign and inaugural speech that he grew to become into going to end the transparency?
