How many (besides myself) are tired of having to waste our valuable time on hold only to get a foreigner who doesn't even speak our language. It seems like every American company has enlisted the help of foreigners to answer their phones. I have nothing against them personally, but really, would they want to deal with me if they where in America and I was answer the phones of their large companies back in thier homeland?

I hate Dell, Charter Communication, Sprint, etc...all of them who are doing this. It drives me nuts...

House Approves Strip Search Bill

A bill approved by the U.S. House yesterday would require school districts around the country to establish policies making it easier for teachers and school officials to conduct wide scale searches of students. These searches could take the form of pat-downs, bag searches, or strip searches depending on how administrators interpret the law.

This will no doubt end the shortage of teachers by attracting perverts and pedophiles to the educational career path.

Did you believe it? As reported on Fox News...some Republicans want to honor the late Joesph McCarthy with a statue on the National Mall in Washington!

This is crazy and must be stopped.

Granted Bush, like McCarthy holds power by scaring people to death. But some people never learn.

Do you support the sinister plan to add a statue of Joesph McCarthy on the National Mall?

NEW: Minutemen holding ground on Miller boycott
Border watch group snubs beermaker for alleged 'illegal' backing

By Sara Inés Calderón
The Brownsville Herald

The Minuteman Civil Defense Corps, civilian border watchers out of Arizona, are pushing a nationwide boycott on Miller Brewing Company and all of their products, according to their national executive director.

“We found out that they are very instrumental in financing illegal immigration in different forms,” said Al Garza, a leader in the Minuteman organization.

“They are in fact hiring illegal immigrants,” Garza alleges.

There have been no reports of this activity at any of Miller Brewing Co.'s operations. Original calls for the boycott stem from Miller's reported support of a pro-immigrant rally in Chicago.

The Chicago Tribune reported on Sept. 6 that the Minutemen and 9/11 Families for a Secure America, had announced a boycott against Miller for financially backing an organization that supports legalizing undocumented immigrants. Miller also faced boycott threats from immigration-reform groups earlier this year.

A Web site has been set up to support the Miller boycott. Millerboycott.com boasts nearly 12,000 electronic “signatures” for an online petition against the beermakers and phone numbers for boycott supporters to call the company and let them “know what you think about their support of illegal aliens.”

Miller’s official statement on the matter, posted on its Web site, millerbrewing.com, reads in part: “Miller Brewing Company has never supported illegal immigration and we have always supported the full enforcement of current U.S. laws … Going forward, Miller will closely review all requests for support from community and charitable organizations to ensure that we are not indirectly funding or associating our name with advocacy efforts on the immigration issue.”

They close by stating, “We plan to stick to the business of brewing, marketing and selling great beer.”

Still, the Minuteman group is encouraging members to snub the company, their products and get others to join in.

“Even I used to drink Miller Lite,” Garza said. “But not anymore.”

A Uk citizen who was a taxes payer till he left UK .When his son born in UK wanted to apply to a British university he was told If you have not lived in the UK/EU/EEA for 3 years prior to the commencement of your course only then he will be elgible for local fees .
He does NOT want Scholorship/Loan or any benefit .
He just wants to pay local fees like any UK student and NOT International fees as he being asked to.
In contrast
Every Aslyum seeker ,terrorist can stay and get benefits while a UK citizen cannot and worse still he cannot be deported.FANATIC Omar Bakri Mohammed last night admitted he hates Britain — after learning he will escape deportation under tough new curbs on Muslim extremists. The Government’s own Human Rights Act means the cleric cannot be sent back to his Syrian homeland in case he faces torture or execution there. The Government's own report for 1999 -2000 shows cost of supporting asylum seekers was £597 million or 0.17% of total Government spending

LAKEPORT, Calif. — The pear growers here in Lake County waited decades for a crop of shapely fruit like the one that adorned their orchards last month.

Pears rotted on the ground of Nick Ivicevich’s orchard. He lost about 1.8 million pounds of them.
“I felt like I went to heaven,” said Nick Ivicevich, recalling the perfection of his most abundant crop in 45 years of tending trees.

Now harvest time has passed and tons of pears have ripened to mush on their branches, while the ground of Mr. Ivicevich’s orchard reeks with rotting fruit. He and other growers in Lake County, about 90 miles north of San Francisco, could not find enough pickers.

Stepped-up border enforcement kept many illegal Mexican migrant workers out of California this year, farmers and labor contractors said, putting new strains on the state’s shrinking seasonal farm labor force.

Labor shortages have also been reported by apple growers in Washington and upstate New York. Growers have gone from frustrated to furious with Congress, which has all but given up on passing legislation this year to create an agricultural guest-worker program.

I want to apologize...I have gotten caught up in the labeling and partesianship that is the biggest problem facing America and the world today. I realize that placing labels upon people and ideas makes understanding of the people, actions, ideas, and concepts impossible.

Why don't we all turn over a new leaf and start looking at ideas for their merit and workability instead of immediately placing a label on them and agreeing or disagreeing based solely on the label?

Perhaps if we can set all of this aside, we can work together towards "a more perfect Union" like the Constitution talks about.

This entire argument could be put to rest instantly if they would just stop hiding everything and show us the video! There were 5 video cameras pointing at the impact side of the Pentagon. All 5 videos were confiscated, and only 5 frames of one of them were released, and those do not show what it was that hit the Pentagon. The 3 missing frames would show exactly what is was.

I think that this is the most important way to find out whether it was an inside job or not. If it really was a passenger airplane, we would all know that it was terrorists (and that a miracle happened to make the entire plane fit into a 16 foot hole and disappear for the first time in aviation history...but this is beside the point).

Let's see the videos!

My landlord included a clause in my rental agreement involving me paying 60% interest per month. I pay my rent based on automatic wire transfer, and didn't notice it stopped. I by mistake didn't pay my rent for two months, and was never notified. Finally my landlord notified me, and I immediately paid, but he is now demanding that I pay $3000 in interest for 2 months of late payments. Are there rules around excess interest charges, even though it is in the contract? (Yes - I know, I should have read the contract.) This all seems really unfair but I don't know what I can do about it.
