Is it possible that the terrorists saw some Popeye cartoons, and therefore thought that spinnach is what gives Americans strenght, and did something to cause problems with spinnach?

I doubt they saw Popeye and I doubt they would have chosen spinach since most Americans seem to enjoy fast food to nutrition! To put mass terror in Americans they would have chosen a food source that would affect more Americans.

Since you took it upon yourself to use humor,to exploit the spinach industry,i might grant u some lenience,however you should understand that its no laughing matter!People get very ill and some even were killed by harmful bacteria.FOOD SAFETY IS A PUBLIC MATTER AND NOT TO BE MADE FUN OF.

Don't think so, dude. All they would have to do is poison something more abundant and required for living. Spinach is not THAT popular.
