A Uk citizen who was a taxes payer till he left UK .When his son born in UK wanted to apply to a British university he was told If you have not lived in the UK/EU/EEA for 3 years prior to the commencement of your course only then he will be elgible for local fees .
He does NOT want Scholorship/Loan or any benefit .
He just wants to pay local fees like any UK student and NOT International fees as he being asked to.
In contrast
Every Aslyum seeker ,terrorist can stay and get benefits while a UK citizen cannot and worse still he cannot be deported.FANATIC Omar Bakri Mohammed last night admitted he hates Britain — after learning he will escape deportation under tough new curbs on Muslim extremists. The Government’s own Human Rights Act means the cleric cannot be sent back to his Syrian homeland in case he faces torture or execution there. The Government's own report for 1999 -2000 shows cost of supporting asylum seekers was £597 million or 0.17% of total Government spending

Yes, the more you look into it all the more unfair it is, the more stupid our policies towards immigration. We certainly seem to think British citizens are second class citizens in the UK. We have the EU to thank for their human rights interferrance and every politician who took us further into the EU, allowing politicians in Brussells to seal our fate. I'd certainly like to see all of these clerics and troublemakers sent back to their homeland and to their fate, dealt out by their own countrymen. As he hates the UK so much we would be doing him a favour returning him to Syria or wherever. I doubt he is in any danger from his countrymen, they will probably clap him on the back for causing trouble, he was probably sent here to cause trouble and corrupt young impressionable people. The word 'plant' comes to mind, Syria knows that by making him a wanted man that the stupid UK will keep him here. I would send him home and stick two fingers up to the EU's human rights policy. About time we had politicians with backbone.

The kid has not lived in the UK 3 years prior to wanting to take a course at Uni. I for one do not see why my taxes should go to putting him through an education. Why cant he just get educated where he was living? Just because his dad paid taxes in the UK years ago does not mean he has a right to come back here and get an education or use the health service. Thats only for people that are here. People who are contributing to Britains tax system should get the benefits and no-one else. If you have lived overseas then pay the International Student fees....... Also your statement about EVERY assylum seeker and EVERY terrorist can stay here and get benefits is just pathetic. Stop reading the Daily Fascist and accepting that rubbish as fact. Life is not as black and white as you seem to think it is.

It's that way in the US too. Even worse. Up to AGE 23 or 25 the ADDRESS of your parents is considered your residence.

After the age you must have LIVED in the area to minimal amount of time prior to enrolling in school. Anywhere from 30 days to maybe one year.

I faced this when I moved out on my own and my family moved to another county. I went to apply at a 2 year college that charged like $30 for a class and they wanted to charge me NON RESIDENT amounts of $150 per class!

Your best bet is to moved to London, get a flat, get a job for a few months, get a driver license with a local address and then apply at school.

If asked, tell them your whole family died in an Earthquake and you're the only survivor.

Like they are goiong to search.

The MOMENT you give an Egyptian address for the nearest family member is the moment they want to charge you 5x resident fees!

Same goes for friends. Use only local friends.

Having just read what you have written Adyurboy I feel literally sick its almost unbelievable that our government can allow this to operate in favour of these anti British people and give them sanctity and I suppose all the benefits that the true British people get refused Just what the hell is happening in our country has the Home Secretary no way of sending these people packing and if they get punished in their own country that's their affair not ours so wake up Britain and do something the rid us of this blot

Because the politically correct and people like Cherie Blair are making a fortune out of the situation. Without them we could have sorted the problem years ago, and free speech would have still been an option.

I agree adyar boy, and I do sympathise with you.
The government is so wrapped up by gooders that the rest of us don't stand a chance.

As for that Omar Bakri twonky coward sponger. My hubby would happily meet him in a back alley one dark night and save the Syrian Govt the bother.

If he hasn't lived in the UK for more than three years why should he get local rates?
You chose to leave the UK and this is a logicak consequence. You can't have it both ways.

Because the bleeding heart brigade prefer exotic problems to native problems. They don't seem to understand that a governments first resposibility is to its own citizens. When they they realise that their own country is going to rack and ruin, their generosity with your money might hit the buffers.
