basickly this man has dreadz and it is a look for his music career, he has been given the chance for a record deal when he is out of prison, he is there for a non violent crime any advice on who i can talk to about this would be a big blessing...................have a blessed day

They aren't giving him a record contract based on his hairstyle. He's going to lose the dreadlocks in prison - there isn't any caselaw to support a prisoner being able to maintain a hairstyle in prison for a potential record deal. Religion - maybe you would have an argument, but for a job - sorry.

Somebody asked this question about the Army a couple of weeks ago (you probably could search in Y! Q/A for it). The answer will be the same: he'll probably have to get a wig.

Once his sentence is final, his rights are rather limited. Perhaps he could get transferred to a prison in another state on some grounds, and that other state might not have such a hair rule.

hair should be the least of his worries. non-violent or not, he still committed a crime & when he chose to do it, he also chose to have his rights limited. it's called jail for a reason. if u want the hair, don't do the crime.

He should worry about keeping his "virginity" not his hair style. HIs hair should be the *last* thing on his mind, tell him to have have a be*HAVED* day....

the hair doesn't matter...if he has any talent the best thing for his career is that he got busted. what did you get arrested for you lying sack of s-hit?????????
