la raza sent a memo to the senate that they won't support anything that causes
illegals to learn english or assimulate and become part of America
"It will harm thier communities"
I guess this really pissed off some of the senators
word just came out that la raza appologised and are now crawfishing on the memo
but its to late
They are anarchists intent on having a hispanic gov't overthrown our country
It seems they want the entire south west,
What are your views on this group?
Its not the old group I remember from my college
years .This new La Raza it has a whole
different agenda.

A leading Aztlan group
is the Chicano Student Movement of Aztlan,
known by its Spanish acronym MEChA.
Like many other Hispanic groups,
MEChA came out of the
"Brown Power" movement
of the late '60s.
Its founding motto was,
"For those in the race, everything.
For those outside the race, nothing."
Closer to the mainstream is the Aztlan movement,
which claims Aztec and Spanish ancestry
and wants only the western half of the U.S.
for "LA RAZA de Bronze." (The Brown Race)
MEChA and the LA RAZA movement teach that
Colorado, California, Arizona, Texas, Utah,
New Mexico, Oregon and parts of Washington State
make up an area known as "AZTLAN" --
A fictional ancestral homeland of the Aztecs
before Europeans arrived in North America.
As such, it belongs to the followers of MEChA.
These are all areas America should surrender to "La Raza"
once enough immigrants, legal or illegal,
enter to claim a majority, as in Los Angeles.
The current borders of the United States will be extinguished.
The National Council of La Raza succeeded
in raking in over $15.2 million in federal grants last year alone,
of which $7.9 million
was in U.S. Department of Education grants for Charter Schools,
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=50459
and undisclosed amounts were for get-out-the-vote efforts
supporting La Raza political positions.
The Council of LA RAZA succeeded
in having itself added to congressional hearings
by Republican House and Senate leaders.
And an anonymous senator even gave the Council of La Raza
an extra $4 million in earmarked taxpayer money,
(supposedly for "housing reform,")
while La Raza continues to lobby the Senate
for virtual open borders
and AMNESTY for ILLEGAL ALIENS
http://www.humaneventsonline.com/article.php?id=13863
Posing As Harmless Student Groups,
MEChA And The Council Of LA RAZA
tend to be dominated by immigrants' children and descendants,
not immigrants themselves.
Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlán (MEChA),
which translates to Chicano Student Movement of Aztlán,
is a (Harmless) student organization with chapters
at universities and high schools nationwide.
But the views of most Mexicans (75 Percent)
aren't far away from MEChA's.
The major players in the Hispanic lobby deny any racist motives.
-- Jose Angel Gutierrez,
Professor, University of Texas, Arlington-
Founder of the La Raza Unida political party -
"We have an aging white America.
They are not making babies. They are dying.
The explosion is in our population . . .
They are shitting in their pants with fear...I love it.
We have got to eliminate the gringo,
and what I mean by that is, if the worst comes to the worst,
we have got to kill him."
To quote from El Plan De Aztlán,
the guiding document of MEChA
since its formation in the late 1960s,
“Brotherhood unites us,
and love for our brothers makes us
a people whose time has come
and who struggles against the foreigner gabacho
who exploits our riches and destroys our culture.
With our heart in our hands and our hands in the soil,
we declare the independence of our mestizo nation.”
That’s right, these racist Neo-Nazis
want to “liberate” by force what they call a “mestizo nation” –
they have outlined how they plan a revolution
to seize the southwestern portion
of the Unites States of America,
and turn it into the Chicano country of Aztlán.
I said racist,
because these radical revolutionaries want to establish a nation
without Americans,
Africans,
Europeans,
or Asians –
only Chicanos will be allowed.
Their slogan is
“Por La Raza todo, Fuera de La Raza nada,”
which translates to
“For the Race, everything, for those outside of the Race, nothing.”
How chilling.
Even more sick and twisted
is MEChA’s plan to incorporate Hispanic gangs
in their revolution.
Section 5 of El Plan De Aztlán says that “
For the young there will no longer be acts of juvenile delinquency,
but revolutionary acts.”
These Ideals Have Been Taught In High Schools
And On College Campuses Throughout The USA
For The Past 35 Years
Members Of These Groups Include:
Antonio Villaraigosa Mayor- Los Angeles, California
Senor Villaraigosa has spent a lifetime
opposing U.S. immigration laws -

Villaraigosa's Allegiance is to Mexico,

If they don't want to be American, why the heck are they here???
I think many of these groups are racist, or at least too much loyalty to Mexico and not enough to the U.S.
To Nexus- This is a very mainstream group. There is probably one in your local high school and college. You can see them all the time on the News or other programs when it focuses on areas hispanics hold important.

I am a Mexican-American female here in the U.S. nearly my whole life and I have to say that calling them Anarchists goes a little far. To answer your question, no, we do not all feel that way. Don't take the opinion of an ignorant few to represent the general ideals of a whole race. Most, if not all, the Mexicans I know, support learning the language here and becoming a part of the "melting pot". I don't think becoming more educated and global in a sense, lessens one's ethnic loyalty. It only enhances our ability to function and succeed in whatever we choose to do. As for the "old group" you speak of, I am not familiar with it. Is it MEchA?

Doesn't that group get money from our government, or something? There's a GREAT way to save some money on the ol' federal budget, as far as I'm concerned...a good start, at least....

My view has not changed from all their hate filled propaganda. They are like every other hate group that emerges, they ridicule the KKK, yet they are the exact same as them to me. They are a special interest group, which I oppose. Our government officials need to ignore them and listen to the constituents.
