We originally went in for the WMD's. They had no WMD's.
Then we changed it to be that we went in for regime change. Saddam is no longer in power.
Then we we changed it to because of the links between Saddam and AlQuida. We know now that there are no links.
Then we changed the reason to bringing them democracy. They have a democracy.
I think that is all of the different changes we have made. But by all of those measurments we are finished.

Cons are not trying to figure that out, Jane. They know why we're there. 1. False Intelligence indicating WMD's from most Western Nations including the US. 2. His failure to comply with UN Resolutions, by order of such he should have transparently gotten rid of all WMD's. 3. The failure of Sanctions due to the UN's Oil for Food program. 4. Regime Change 5. Currently, the terrorists are going there to fight the Americans.

They are not trying to figure out why we are there because they don't care. They just want to find a way out that works to their best possible political advantage - and they don't care how many Americans, or others. die.
