While I find neither appealing I find myself particularly loathsome of a mother that would seek fame and fortune from the dirt of a sons grave. A son she could not or would not raise. I'm sure he was better off without this self involved narcissistic woman who traded on the flesh of a son she didn't deserve. I have to remind myself that there must be something essential missing in her own mind. At least cannibals and sin eaters had purpose to devouring people. Sean Penn while offensive is a hell of a talented guy (All the Kings Men) so he at least has something on the table to offer up as an excuse to take up space. He's entitled to his opinion just like any other American but celebrities seem to be so full of their own self importance that they delude themselves into believing that the rest of us give a damn what they think.

Sean Penn. At least Sheehan had a son to use as her excuse for her stupidity, rants and raves, etc.

Since you've answered your own question why are you asking? But since you did ask I give my opinion. I like Sean Penn as an actor. He can play many different roles. For example, when you watch Fast Times and Ridgemont High and then you watch Casualties of War, you would not think this is the same person. He is a very good actor and ignore his politics.

Sean Penn is revolting as an actor. He's always screaming or crying, emoting over something worthless. I have no idea about his political stuff.
As for Cindy Sheehan, I think you crossed the boundaries of propriety by criticizing her home life and family. You have no idea what challenges or problems faced her or her children, and you are in no position to pass judgment on her.

Sean Penn is just a dude with some opinions that you may or may not believe also. His insights are no more important than paris Hilton's or any other celebrity's opinion.
Cindy Sheehan is to be pitied.
The death of her child has driven her insane with grief. That is very sad. Her opinions shoould be viewed from that perspective.

Sorry Jen. I'm not fan of Cindy's, but she did give custody up of him. that's an urban legend.

So, with that I'll go with Sean Penn.

Now that's a brutal thought!
Spicoli is a bigger idiot, but at least he attempts to do some good. (helping his drug-addict brother, was not one of them). Sheehan is a self-congratulatory whack-job activist protesting to protest who likes to see herself on TV.
