Vanity is profanity. Kennedy didn't want the view spoiled on his precious little kingdom. Some folks can't live up to what they preach, can they?

As to alternative power; I'm not sure why there is a need due to the global glut of oil. If we forced all of the pollutants and CO2 out of oil it would drive the cost of oil up by about 25%. If we exposed big oil's conspiracy to control the price point of oil we would be paying about $0.50 a gallon for gas even with the environmentally friendly burden in place. In the next 500 years we need to migrate to a renewable source which is when we'll run out. The only way to do this would be to tax the heck out oil so that alternative sources become economically viable. As to Kennedy bailing on the wind farms; his hand was probably called because many citizens regard those windmills as eyesores and feel that their property values would be impacted. A standard case of a politician being his disgusting political self. You have to remember in the US political system there are no choices; the question is which faction of the business party are you going to vote for? The Republicans are Nazi's minus the concentration camps (only because we still have some democratic processes in place) and the Democrats are hypocrites pandering to masses but delivering to the corporations. Foaming at the mouth about imaginary "liberals" will get you no where, because they don't really exist; that last ones that I know of were assassinated or jailed by a Democrat, Woodrow Wilson

You have learned the truth about American politics.
There's only one party and you've got to have money to join.
We,the people, are pretty much on our own when it comes to trying to save the precious few natural resources that are left.
As long as they can get $3.00 for a gallon of gas don't expect to see any other energy sources explored.
Scientist are talking about a ten year window of opportunity to clean up the environment.I believe that's bs (blue sky.No pun intended!)
It would be extremely egotistical to believe that man can reverse the damage done to OUR world.
How in the world can they reverse the melting polar ice caps?
I have come to understand that the people who are making the real money only see money. They actually don't have the fore sight to see the damage their greed is causing. All they see is mo' money,mo' money,mo' money.I believe they actually think they will be able to buy their way out of the destruction that is inevitable.
I am not without hope.I have faith in the Creator because man will fail you more times than not.

Becuase Ted Kennedy does what he wants to, he doesn't represent the whole party. By the way, try to ask less retorical questions next time.

Teddy only wants what suits Teddy, and he wouldn't like the look of it. He doesn't really give a damn about global warming, or wind power to improve our nation's oil independence.

Typical liberal hypocrisy. "Save the planet", "alternative energy sources", but "Not in my backyard, damn it!!!".
Aw, yes.... Hypocrisy, a trait well mastered by the American left.
