not only can I not call afghanastan in a time of war without it possibly be monitored, but these other rights (according to some libs that answered my question) are being violated:

I don't have the constitutional right to yell fire in a crowded theater.

I don't have the constitutional right to offer a reward to kill someone I don't like.

I am not allowed to run around naked at a elemtary school.

I am not allowed to tell someone I am going to kill them.

i am not allowed to kidnap and keep someone in my PRIVATE basement as my love slave.

DAMN YOU GEORGE BUSH!!! THIS COUNTRY WAS FOUNDED ON CERTAIN RIGHTS, AND IF I CAN'T BE HAPPY, THEN YOU ARE DESTROYING THE CONSTITUTION.

(why can't you morons realize how stupid you sound when you complain about the wiretapping?)

I was wondering if you were scared to vote because of retalliation. If you are a die-hard Democrat, are you concerned that during a Republican administration, someone with power could order the voter records (public info) and maybe do things to you to prevent you from voting in a future elections, like have the IRS audit you because you are a Democrat, or do things that may take away yor ability to vote? What if you wrote a letter to your Congressman, would he was Democrat, would he give you the attention you deserved if you normally vote republican? I just used the Republican and Democrat not intending to make either one sound like the bad guy.

do all you see in america is reds and blues. When i read these posts all you do is stereotype and bash each other. both sides seem to know nothing about the issue, instead you both pick up on something from the one news report you saw and suddenly you are an expert on the issue.

And none of you can seem to find a middle ground on anything. Im a liberal, i think Clinton was a good president, i think what he is doing now with his global initiative is awesome. I also think that republican Tom Ridge (former PA governer and homeland security) was one of the best governers PA ever had, much better than democrate Ed Randell is currently doing.

Im just saying, move out of the red and blue and move into the purple, or at least the blueish-red or redish-blue

It says in James that pure religion undefiled is to take care of the widows and the orphans while Republicans want to strip away or greatly decrease social benefits, such as Medicare. Also, Republicans are pro-Death penalty. Come on, life is either sacred or it's not.

Yes, Democrats as a whole take the stand on pro-Abortion and pro gay rights. But which is worse? Not taking care of people, shooting down people in other countries, lying, stripping us of our freedom of privacy, or saying it's okay for homosexuals to get married? I am sick of the "You can't be a democrat and a Christian" crap.

about a year ago my father owned the car that is now mine. While at a mans house doing some repair work the man backed into the car while parked and put a huge dint in the car. The car has since been signed over to me. We have tried and tried to get this man to report this to his insurance company and give us the money that is rightfully ours. We have given him several qoutes to repair the vehical. He is looking at about 1,300$ to fix it. He refuses to answer our calls, or call us back. When we do get him on the phone he says its been to long.. i am not paying. Or other bs excuses. I have been told to file a civil suit against him. Will it hold up in court having been so long ago, and having been switched to another persons name since the accident.

UN surely is the only hope for global action as a community, acting under laws. But it's impotent when USA (which refuses International Court jurisdiction) ignores it or acts unilaterally (as in Iraq invasion - although Bush enlisted UN for support when in obvious trouble). This impotence, particularly over Palestine, Rwanda, etc, coupled to regular denigration by US, according to outgoing UN Sec-Gen Kofi Annan, is now threatening future of UN. Similar unilateral white-anting destroyed League of Nations pre World War 11. Do we have to rebuild a UN without a Security Council and the veto hangover ... and how ... or is only global anarchy possible?

If someone buys a prepaid cell phone, which is virtually impossible to keep track of who owns it. Should they be allowed to call a terrorist in afghanastan without the U.S. governement monitoring that call? Keep in mind, it is a prepaid cell phone, so the agencies would not know the call was taking place until it happened, so there would not be a warrant.

YES OR NO?

I've noticed that a lot of people on here take a "we must go to war instead of sitting down and talking it out with other governments" kind of stance. Hatred begats hatred, in my opinion, but I want to know the logic of those who believe war is the answer to our problems. (for real; I want to know if I am thinking about this in the wrong way so I can fix it. Or if I'm not, I want to know that too)

I am the president of my colleges young democrats club. we want to use a picture on our club t-shirts. It depicts a donkey and it says "democrats are sexy" however it was used as a joke piece on the "Daily Show" Our clubs advisor says that it may be copywrited and we would have to get permission to use it from comedy central, which would be tendious.
My question is does the use of this emblem/icon on our t-shirts fall in line with the "fair use" or satirical (parody)statutes?

It would only be worn by our group members on our campus, which only consists of about a couple dozen people, and not mass produced.
