Given the way muslims react to any critisizm of their religion do you think the United Nations are correct in being so worried about muslims ever gaining nukes. The world would be a very dangerous place if they ever got nuclear capability.

Islamic view:

If anyone slays a human being unless it be (in punishment) for murder or for spreading corruption on earth - it shall be as if he had slain the whole of mankind; whereas, if anyone saves a life, it shall be as if he had saved the lives of the whole of mankind (5:32: in Ebrahim, 102)
Ebrahim comments:

From this verse it is evident that every human being has the right to be born, the right to be, and the right to live as long as Allah (SWT) permits. No one may be deprived of life except for a legitimate crime as discussed above. The fetus is regarded by all schools of Islamic law has having the right to life, as indicated by the fact that the death sentence on a pregnant woman can be carried out only after she has given birth. (102)
According to Ebrahim, this right to life is absolute in Islam: it cannot be overridden, even in cases of rape or concerns regarding fetal deformity (103).

SO THEY SEE EVERY ABORTION HERE AS US MURDERING MANKIND.........

Absolutely nothing(as the song goes) I would not consider myself to be politically informed so I suppose I cant really make an educated comment on the topic. The wars in the middle east just seem so pointless to me. People will die as a result and not much will be achieved. What are your opinions?

He had two war supporter decals on his vehicle. One for "I love Bush" and the other "I support the troops". All I did was ask him to send his two sons ( 20 and 22 years old ) to the war to make Bush proud. The father looked at me like he had crap in his mouth. Why did he look at me like that? I thought he supported the war? Why the hard looks?
