Jason above may be right. I remember that look on poodle Blair's face when he was applauded in the Senate. He has given up all moral authority to become Bush's lapdog.

No I dont think he was right. However I do understand why he might have felt pressurised into doing so. What I find disgusting is that the parents of soldiers serving in the war are being totally ignored by the government and have even been banned from peacefully protesting outside the labour conference, yet a Taliban sympathiser was allowed at the weekend to preach hatred outside the houses of parliament without any interference from the police.

Blair got addicted to being treated as a star in America during the Clinton years. When Bush got into power he couldn't give up this addiction.

Btw, only 14% of Brits want to remain foreign policy allies with the US

Well, if Tony went to Iraq, and found WMD, and evidence of torture by Saddam, we'd be all hailing him as our god, and the labour government wouldn't be in the sorry state it is now. But, unfortunately, Tony didn't find either, and we are blaming him for killing millions of innocent people, and wasting millions of pounds of taxes on the military- and even then the soldiers are poorly equiped.
Apparently "god" motivated him to go to war- but I don't really think that's true.
