Why do so many Republicans seem so irate/threatened by both Democrats and the idea of "liberalism".

Democrats don't seem to be so wound-up by Republicans, even when they don't agree with what they say.

If you could write a sentence or two I'd be grateful because as a outsider this is something that I don't quite understand. Please add your political affiliation to your answer (i.e: Rep. or Dem. etc)

Does affirmative action pretaint to mainly just African Americans or does it include all other minorities? Also, sometimes women are considered a minority, so would an employer be able to use affirmative action for a white woman?

About the Big Story report just now that Judge Neopolitano of Fox News states the mother (Arellano) hiding in the church has a very good legal case to stay in the US, because the US provides citizenship to her child born in the US, and it would not be in the best interest of the child to be separated from his mother? I mean it was their own people who sold them into slavery. Which again is a black on black crime, much like today, except now they are just killing each other. And then they want to blame whites for excepting cheap labor when you know darn well you'd do it today too. I dont mean have slaves I mean cheap labor like whats done with the illegals. And lets not forget no one ever acknowledges the fact that asians and mexicans were slaves too. You dont hear them bitchin about it. They took and it went on. I dont owe anyone anything if my great great great grandfather owned your great great great grandfather and so on. I say it was the cheap labor of the time now lets move. Oh, and another thing... Why are you african american if you arent directly from africa? Unless you moved here and got naturalized then you are an American!!!

I have heard this used as a negative stereotype from conservatives; the stereotype certainly applies to me and many of the academic/literary types that I know. Many of these types have made or will be making a great deal of money, so it seems to defy the rich=conservative, poor=liberal stereotype.

I had this summons in april regarding public urination in NYC. Im questioning if its worth getting a lawyer or take the chance that the cop wont show up. Im also a permanent resident and not an american citizen, if it ends up in my records is there any way it could prevent me from being naturalized or having it delayed?

I worked for a business for 2 weeks and then decided that the boss was alittle weird. I quit, but I never got a paycheck. I waited 4 weeks, still no paycheck. Then out of the blue he started emailing me harassing letters... I went to the police and filled out a report. The letters didn't make sence. I called and found 2 other designers that he had never paid and owes money to, but the scarier part is that he also screwed over 8 different busniesses! He took amounts from 400-2000 to build people websites and hasn't done them! We all want to do something but I am at a loss of what to do!

She was convicted of social security fraud, and was deported and returned illegally. She received a special stay of deportation previously because her son was sick. Now she is just defying the law.

What do you think?

Is she a poster child for the pro-illegal movement, or a prime example of anti-illegal concern that our laws are not being enforced?
