The worst thing we can do for the Africans is continue the welfare that we give them. After all, there is no self-reliance and thus why poverty still exists.

The good news is that we've gotten a grip on the treatment of HIV/AIDS and people who contract it these days(in the US anyway) have a valuable treatment regime to keep them alive & basically well for years.
