Many states have federal mandatory sentences if an offender commits a drug crime while they are in possesion of a gun. Many still, are sentenced to 50+ years even though they never brandished the gun or threatened anyone with it. Some were convicted for having a gun in their car during the transaction, some for having the gun on them. Check out this link and tell me what you think. Why would they fear a backlash? I mean, they gave us 9/11, they gave us the Bali bombings, the Londong bombings, the Spain bombings, the French riots, the Danish cartoon riots, the India bombings, the Lebanon bombing that killed the former prime minister, the current war with Israel, the terrorist-led killings in Iraq, the killings and war in Somalia.

Of course, Muslims are peaceful loving people. They're not ALL actual murderers. Only 25-30% of them are, and the other percentage sits silently in agreement, making donations, looking the other way.

Comon people, don't hold Islam and its sick following accountable, that is racist, bigoted, not open minded, not engaging in dialog, and worse, NOT UNDERSTANDING their grievances. We need diplomacy people!!!

I know we are probaby far far away from going back to old days of not having to show up at the airport 2+ hours in advance to catch our flights. Now I know this beefed up security is to make sure another 9/11 never happens again but has the security gone to far?? Whats your take??

Let me explain ! I think I was probably about 10 years old when I saw my first tv news appearance of two jets that were hijacked and blow up in some desert or other. I am now in my mid 40's.

It is a metal tube with two wings attached full of highly flammable fuel.

The terrorists have used perfect logic to find the most efficient way of hurting us - basically by using our own infrastructure against us ?

There is another salient fact that this current breed of terrorists have learned to use against us - they know that human life actually HAS a pre-determined value, because governments and insurance companies and such like use risk analysis type models to determine the ratio between disaster and time and giving it a value. As one unfortunate passenger held up at one UK airport during the latest crisis pointed out ''if they feel they need to do these checks then why haven't they always done them". Answer - Money. Making a liquid bomb from sum nitrate derivative is not new technology !

For the second time Yahoo has yanked questions that I posed because I went out of my way to describe America'srole and guilt and I went out of my way to show what Israel is doing to the Arab population.

I have demanded thier reasoning but no reply as of yet is this because they don't have any justification for thier supposed view

I am American and I am sick and f*cking tired of the jerk offs trying to find new ways to kill us!!! And what's worse, is that they dragged the English people into it. What the he!! did they do? Our country needs to realize we have problems and swallow our pride and look to other countries for examples on how to make things work better. Too often I think people in our country take the attitude that, Ya this doesn’t work very well but we will gradually fix it. Well insted of it taking 10,20 years or more to fix, why not look at other countrys for examples of how to make things better. EXAMPLE, our crime rate in this country is horrable compaired to other countrys such as England, France, Japan Etc., So why not reasearch what these other countrys do differently from us, and see what we could possibly implement here to make things better. What do you think.

More and more frequently, a man's job is not enough to support his family. More and more mother's, (who's husbands are still with them) are having to work due to necessity. Does that not indicate that the US economy is worsening?

P.S. Though I don't always agree with either party, I tend to favor Republicans on moral issues.
