More and more frequently, a man's job is not enough to support his family. More and more mother's, (who's husbands are still with them) are having to work due to necessity. Does that not indicate that the US economy is worsening?

P.S. Though I don't always agree with either party, I tend to favor Republicans on moral issues.

Good question. My husband works 2 jobs which keeps him gone constantly. Now that my two kids are both going to be in school this year I will be going back into the work force after almost 7 years. Even with my husbands two jobs and my 1 job it still will only be just enough...

It is strong because we have a very low unemployment rate. Personally, business is booming here in Vegas like we have never seen. I've talked to people all over the country and they are seeing huge amounts of work in many cities. My wife is able to stay home with the kids, which is awesome. I think a lot of people in this country live beyond their means. They want to buy $2,000 tv's and have car payments of $1000/month. The economy is great, but some have the wrong priorities.

It is great for the well connected, unfortunately that is not for the majority so if your satisfied with having only the few rule and enjoy while the majority have nots suffer and sacrifice having no say, control and low form of existence! I think its way wrong for all to long, you will have to organize and unite on common goals and ground to make effective change. Seizing control of Money/Power/Wealth by way of majority rule is a thought. Congress and a Illegitimate World Corporate Ruling Class dominate this control NOW!

I have a job and am thankful for it. Its just the competition. People want to keep up with the Joneses. For example: SUV instead of car, 200 TV channels instead of 5, $50 Video Games instead of playing outside, Coach instead of Target, Starbucks instead of homemade, etc
People want more and borrow money without a good financial plan so both have to work to pay the credit card bills.

The strong part he is talking about is the crappy jobs. They are even hard to find. What we are going to have to do this coming election is vote for someone who will do something for the economy of this great nation not meddle with restricting laws for a segment of the population that has little or no impact on anything except religious beliefs. I personally think he is terrible and can't wait to vote! I didn't vote for him in the past two elections and now everyone is seeing why! His narrow minded A$$ isn't in touch with the average American.

In total, the economy IS strong. The problem is that it is distributed more and more unequally. That's why you don't feel it...because you ain't getting it...but some rich folks are...and they're getting A LOT!

Because nearly every economic indicator says it is. Whether or not your job pays well enough is not an economic indicator.

The economy is also slowing.

It is for Republicans. and those who are tops in large corporations. like enron, and stuff. Not for the averege American whom he could care less about. And republicans use the moral issues for votes and propaganda. they dont really see things the way they say. Just a ploy to get votes and power.
