Islam is bedouine tradition, distilled from a slow stewing of semitic, persian and greek ideaologies, and then double fermented with centuries of expansionism and religious imperialism. But, and the big rub is, that when you had the chance for a reformation and a little bit of cultural transition, you buried it.

We in the west opted for market forces and liberalism , and threw in humanism to make sense of it all, and you guys stayed buried underneath godly fear.

In Britain, we are a liberal democracy, thriving on freedom of expression and individualism, and all though we moan about it, it's the best country on earth. We do roughly what we like, when we like, and contrary to muslim opinion, we are actually some of the nicest people about. Even when a few of get together and throw bombs about the place, we try to figure it out and be nice to you....

so...our girls like short skirts, we like a beer or two, gays run our country ... if muslims don't like it, go live in Iran!

Yesterday I read from a Republican:
"...that babykilling queer from Boston looser John Kerry".

Yikes!

Couldn't even spell "loser".Sounds LIKE a loser.

I know there are pro-choice Republicans.Do they ignore anti-choice rhetoric or do they have any plan to express their beiefs in freedom within their party?

Also, how many of them have to roll their eyes when they hear think-tank created catch phrases like "respect for life" or "culture of life"?

I got a ticket going 62 in a 45 this morning, and the cop said that since I was so honest (I have a radar detector and concealed weapon in the car) in telling him what I had that he would have no problem talking with the judge to have it reduced. On average, how much do you think my ticket will get reduced to? It's a $180, 4-point ticket as of now. BTW, I'm in South Carolina.

immigration would be such a devastating issue for the future of The U.S.?The statue was given to the U.S. as a gift from France. It was based on the friendship The U.S. and France developed during the American Revolution. You think he might have removed the words; "Give me your tired, give me your poor....."?

The Roman Empire lost the middle after the rise of the Islamic Empire. Europe tried many time to re-take the Middle East and failed. Because the bible describes Arabs that they are bastards, the western white power believes that Arabs should be killed and the Middle East should be back under the Roman Christian Empire. The fall of the Ottoman Turk Empire lead the British and the French under Sikes and Pico Agreement to divide the Middle East into small little lands under their control. So, Germany and Italy wanted to share the division and control of the Middle East and it lead to WW1 and then WW2. England and the US decided to move all European Jews out from Europe to Palestine in order to serve the interest of the West and defeat any future Arab unity. The aftermath of the 1st Gulf War and the 2nd Gulf War, now the US and Britain control the flow of Petrol from all the middle East, and control all political systems. The final goal of this war is to go after Syria. Israel that is supplied from the US at $450 Bill per year tax payer's money including weapons and oil, continued to take orders from the US and Britain to fight their adjacent countries.

It is a shame that there are so many homeless people out there and as time goes by it will get worse. Or economy is getting to the point where people have to choose. Some people have to chose between a gallon of milk for there kids and a gallon of gas. Some people have to chose to eat or there medications. And the way the rent is these days it's crazy. And no employer wants to give cost of living raises. And landlords just keep raising rents to the point where people cant even live. I do understand there are allot of hard working people that work hard for what they have. And that is cool
but what about the disabled. Or the mother that did not finish school and her husband of 15 yrs just left her. Or the big company that just downsized and the supervisor that worked at the company for 10 yrs just got laid of cause of it.
And all the commercials to help all the people in other countries? What about helping our own fellow man first before we help everyone else in the world. And those poor Katrina victims that are still struggling after it all.
America you really need to look at your own back yard before you help others. I suggest people volunteer at your local church give that bum on the street your spare change instead of saying get a job. Free cycle the clothes you don’t want or need. Give food to the local pantry place for the less fortunate.
I am proud to be an American because I looked in my own back yard and I have help many even though I am disabled with limited income I always find a way to lend a helping hand

Can You?

than our troops and our children? Why do you hate the innocent so much, and love the victim maker? Why are you willing to sacrifice our nation, our children to make political points? Are you not disgusted with yourself? I know that I am disgusted with you.

Why is your ability to retort so limited that when I point out how degenerate liberals are with real examples, your only answer is to try to turn it around and call me names? Is that your attempt at a Jedi mind trick?

See, I criticize men too.

...that are going to be destroyed from being used to help cure disease? Stem Cells have shown so much promise in treating disease. (e.g. Huntingtons, Alzhiemers). The only answer I can think of is he's cowtowing to the religious right, and the Republican Party. I honestly hope someone close to him never gets a disease he could have helped prevent as I have. Please, anyone tell me the logic behind Bush using his first and only veto for this purpose.
