The day is coming when voters will realize that neither Republicans or Democrats represent their interests. When this dawn of realization comes, a new political party will spring forth. The Independent party has the best chance right now of doing this. Expect more politicians in the future to follow Lieberman's footsteps and defect from their well established political parties to form a new party. This will show the voters that they can be more bipartisian, as there will be former republicans and democrats as members of the same party, and will proclaim that business as usual is over. I think that would be an effective strategy for them to remain in power after the public's total loss of confidence in our current system.

I am an independent voter but I like Joe Lieberman and would vote for him just because he is a good man who happens to be in politics.
