Respect??? The barely literate, cocaine using, "decider" is respected in the world? Only by people either afraid of OUR weapons of mass destruction, or those who are @sskissing for one reason or another. Dubya is a joke, I'm sorry! If any of the past few presidents are the best this country can do, it is a sad state of affairs. (Actually, I think that all of the INTELLIGENT people run from "jobs" like that of pres.)
How can this goof ball, who didn't serve in the military, send our boys off to Iraq, with this stupid story about "protecting our freedom" (from what? the threat that Iraq will choose leaders WE don't like???), and watch them getting killed right and left by people in a country where NO ONE wants us????
And Cuba!! Poor lil' ol' Cuba. Leave it the hell alone, Mr. President. (Can you believe that the US would ever be frightened of the little bitty island of Cuba [well, now that there is no USSR to back them]--and we even have a military base there??!!?) We only want Cuba "back" (as a capitalist haven for sin and misery), so that rich Americans can go f*** it up even more.

edit to the person above me: Do you know what Cuba is like, or are YOU just being brainwashed, too??? Been there lately? A lot, lot, lot of Westerners go there for vacation. (Thru' Canada--an infinitely more civilized country than its Southern neighbor)

While Bush's propensity for cowboy diplomacy is certainly an indisputable contemporary historical fact, I think an interventionist stance vis-a-vis Cuba is hardly limited to him.

U.S. presidents who have forecast the imminent death, departure, or toppling of Fidel Castro, and to some degree encouraged his ouster:

John Kennedy
Lyndon Johnson
Richard Nixon
Gerald Ford
Jimmy Carter
Ronald Reagan
George H.W. Bush
Bill Clinton
George W. Bush (also known as Bush II: Electric Boogaloo)

oh poor child. Do you not realize that in five years, you will not even care? You will be too busy b.i.tching and complaining about the next president. You know why? Because the president cant be reelected! And regarding cuba...I hope to god somebody gets up in thier business because that country has been all but dried up. A place in the past regarded for its culture, scenery, art, music, and fine cigars is now known for a murderous dictator, illegal exports and people swimming away from there for thier lives. Maybe you enjoy seeing people killed for speaking up about the government(like you are doing right now because you have freedom). Maybe you like that people have no voice. Maybe you like places that destroy freedom and supress everything about a the people that was good and wholesome. But wait, you're a liberal. And you dont need to be a political science major to look at a political spectrum to see that democrats are right next to communists and socialists when it comes to political ideas. So go ahead and plug your empty, useless, head back in to the communist news network(CNN) and hear about poor poor castro and hope and pray he gets better. The people in miami that are celebrating are not doing so because they are republicans, they are doing it because they are excited at the mere thought that they would be allowed to see their family again before they die. But you dont want them too, because that would imply personal freedom and thats obviously not a good thing for you.

You watch too much broadcast TV. Pres. Bush doesn't want to rule the world. If he did, he would declare himself a dictator, not try to promote democracy where people elect their own leaders. The only countries that dislike Pres. Bush are those who want to remain dictators.

He can't accomplish much because of the liberals who will not accept his win in 2000. Yes, it was unbelievably close, but he did win. I think a contributing factor is that the face of Florida is changing. I know first-hand many well-to-do professionals who live in Florida for our six cold months, then come back here for the summer. They vote while in Florida. Also, many people who can afford to move to Florida when they retire. Florida is no longer comprised of poor Blacks. I think it is filling with rich Whites who tend to be more conservative.

I don't think so. It is up to Cubans to fight for their own country. Once they delete communism, maybe they will apply for statehood.

Clinton is the president who had the whole world laughing at the USA. ie: Monica, cigars, Somalia, Rawanda, OSB, Hillary, his administration, etc etc.

Bush seems to be restoring a little respect.... maybe not with the leftist countries, they don't count in the least, but it will take winning against the Islamo-facists to restore worthwhile respect.... no cut and run tactics will suffice.

I'm 99% sure he won't. we can wait out Castro. there's too much international pressure to not interfere. you are right about him wanting to rule the world. that's why he nuked Iraq and Iran and n. Korea, and Cuba and Russia and France and china....oh, wait, he didn't. but he could. he wants to protect and stabilize, but you could probably do it better you can spell.

while did President Bush "enable individuals die"? in case you're bearing on the federal government's reaction to the hurricanes 3 years in the past on the Gulf Coast, you're regrettably misinformed. there is no longer something interior the form of america that enables the federal government to be in contact in positioned up-hurricane restoration. If the folk alongside the coast chosen to stay there, they additionally chosen to be to blame for their own protection and belongings maintenance. I in no way observed any of them going north to shovel snow from roads and sidewalks following the snowstorms of the final 2 winters. i did no longer see any of them filling and piling sandbags alongside the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers. this concept of "disaster relief" seems to be somewhat one sided.

well, duh...of course he will. And that's his job, little boy. Cuba is close to the United States and it would be a matter of national security. Please, leave the important issues to Washington and go back to playing your video games.
