Jimmy Carter was a decent president but a fool. As usual, look for the liberals, just like the terror organizations to blame the US, Bush, and Israel for everything that happens. Israel didnt need encouragement. And Bush didnt give any. All Israel needed was to get attacked over and over and then finally get a couple of its soldiers kidnapped. Lebannon can share the blame as much as Hezbollah. 6 years ago they pled to help control the Israel border and keep control of bastards like hezbollah. But they never did. Now hezbollah has control over Lebannon wether willingly or unwillingly, but thats the case. Lebannon is just as at fault here but over all hezbollah is the most. Stop going after Israel and give back the two kidnapped soldiers. Thats all they needed to do. And since Hezbollah is funded by Iran/Syria its about time someone deals with them anyhow.
You tell me HOW we and the world make peace with a terror organization or country. PLEASE TELL ME YOUR BRIGHT IDEAS, AND THEN MAYBE YOU SHOULD RUN FOR PRESIDENT. Id love to hear how we can negotiate with terrorists and end in peace LOL. Impossible man. They hate us and they hate Israel and they will not rest until both of us are gone.

It is funny how quickly people forget things. It was not too far in the near past the news was full of constant suicide bombings in Israel almost daily if not more. If people were coming into your neighborhood doing that crap how long would you put up with it before you got pissed and fought back. I wager to guess not as long as they have waited.
I believe there is no political gains for us to have encouraged this to happen. In fact it could be causing the end of the world as we know it. The destruction will be devastating all over the world.
People are foolish thinking this is anymore than Muslims fufilling the prophecy of their Koran by destroying all non-believers. They have choosen this as the time for it to happen.

Jimmy Carter has had an intelligent thought since he left the Navy... he hates Bush because he got elected, something old peanut brain couldn't do...
If the President did encourage Israel to go after Hezbollah, he got it right, because those murderous thugs would keep pushing the envelope until somebody with guts would step up and make them stop. Force is one of the few things that terrorists understand, but liberals, oh liberals, they think that they could talk with them and help them to make nice. Negotiations with terrorists usually only help the terrorists, giving them more time and leverage to kill and maim and disrupt.

I lived during Carter's time as President. He was a nice guy but a lousy President.
Jimmy didn't get the hostages out of Iran. So what makes you think his solutions will work today? In fact with his track record what makes you believe anyone cares what Jimmy thinks?

I do not know. But it is truth that USA and Israel promotes absolutely different meaning for the word "defense". So it would not be strange if some other cuntries will adopt it and will attack USA or Israel just for kidnapping of two tourists in foreign territory by unclear local groups.

I don't think Bullshit encouraged Israel to attack Hezbollah. But I do think that after the first reports of civilian casualties in Lebanon, Bullshit must have encouraged Israel to continue, giving them insurances that they will not have to answer possible criminal charges for civilian deaths.

Actions speak louder than words, right? Look at Bush's record of lies, deceit and cowboy tactics and then look at the humanitarian, diplomatic record of Jimmy Carter. I would give credence to what Carter says.

Personally I think Bush is “looking the other way” while dragging his feet on a truce. Regardless of weather or not I agree with Bush, that crazy Texan sure thinks he has the mind of God, just like the radicals and terrorists!
To much extremism happening!

Yeah, sure. He called up the Prime Minister and said, "Hey, why don't y'all bomb Lebanon?". Get real. We have a lot of influence over Isreal but, they they ultimately march to the beat of their own drum. If I were in any position to make any descisions in Isreal, Hezbollah and anybody that harbours them would cease to exsist.
