If it was proven that Rush Limbaugh has a chronic pain problem, would you be so quick to jump on the bandwagon against him. I have a family member with acute porphyria(look it up), which causes chronic pain, and she takes oxycotton. Oxycotton is a slow release opiut that controls pain over a long time. It is very addictive, but for some, it is the only thing to control the pain. I'm not saying he has porphyria, but maybe he doesn't want expose his medical history to the public. Would you? Then again, he might have a real pill problem. Who really knows.

Do you have any idea how much stuff the governments keeping from us? We've all basically been Brain washed. Busch is the Worst president we've had. This war is just a cover up for the Twin Towers, Pentagon, The one plane that didn't make it. Busch did all that to us not to catch Bin Laden because he's Buddies with Bin Laden the Whole family! Do you believe The United States is free in ways all other countries are not? Certainly there are dictatorships it would be easy to argue against, but the U.S. itself is only a representative democracy at best, and is more accurately described as an oligarchy in light of its Electoral College and the inordinate sway of the Dems and the G.O.P. Is it truly more free than Denmark, England, or, dare it be said, Russia?

Have personal freedoms been eroded in the U.S.? Is the idea of freedom a collective mantra ("land of the free") with no basis in reality?

If you believe other countries have more freedoms, what countries would you cite, and why?

Lastly, I am a citizen of the U.S. who believes in open, or free, discourse - telling me "if you don't like it, get out" is akin to admitting the country isn't free at all, nor open to opposing viewpoints. So if you think the country is free, back up your point rather than pointing fingers. I would like to believe. I'm listening.

So, I was talking to some guy at a local convinience store the other day. When we started talking politics, we had similar interests (Yes to gay marrage and adoptions, universal healthcare coverage, less perks for the wealthy, etc.) But when he said, "I wish we had John Kerry in office! Those moron Republicans would just wither up and die." I said, "Um, dude, hate to tell you this, but I'm a Republican." He started yelling at me, calling me a hate filled war monger, a puss-brained ***hole, KKK lover, gun nut (I thought that one was funny, I don't even own a gun), religeous zealot, pervert. He yelled at me for about a minute or so, until the store manager threatened to call the cops. The guy then threatened my life.
Did I deserve that, just because I happen to have conservative leanings and feel like the government doesn't have a right to say what I can and can not think or feel?
