The Democrats aren't going to disclose the running mates until the end of 07. It's because of George Bush's Watergate Patriot Act and spying on Democrats....So they are still smarter then you neocons

I would vote for Condi or Powell. Not Obama. He's too much of a whiner. I heard he actually sued someone who called him Osama. (Mommy, that mean person called me a nasty name. Wahhh!) We need thick skin on a president, and we don't want the first black president to be a total joke. Condi is strong, and Powell has that authoritative statesmanlike manner about him.

If it wasn't the fact that he was black, than why phrase the question in the manner in which you did? Why not just ask if anyone would vote for Obama?
Personally, I wouldn't vote for him but if Colin Powell ran, I would.

If Obama is actually suing someone for calling him Osama, I don't blame him one bit. Considering the negative connotation associated with that name.
Evidently the Republicans are more nervous about his popularity than they care to admit, since they're already attempting to slur him.
He's new to politics, and obviously isn't going to let loud-mouthed Republicans bring him down. Another reason to like him.
And since you brought up the matter of his race....he's the first black person that I ever heard speak, where I thought, as I listened....I would vote for him.

That's a great question and I'm glad somebody asked it so I can thoughtfully tell you that I'm not sure.
I'm sorry to make it sound so silly but it's the truth. I'm not sure how he will be accepted in America. I know the rest of the world will be ok with it. Americans, I'm not sure of. The longer we wait for a minority president the harder it will be, I think. Mainly because it's just tensions right now.

Without a doubt, America is still too racist, sexist, ignorant and redneck to vote anyone other than a rich white man into the presidency, unfortunately.
I would absolutely vote for Barak Obama.

Ive always believed we would have a woman president before having a black one. Either way though, it is time to get a minority in office. I hope it would be more about the candidates platform then their gender or race...we are getting closer to this way of thinking all the time. The bigger problem is just getting a democrat elected.

Yes, Condi Rice. She would kill two birds with one stone if elected. First Black President and first female.

You know, as much as I would like to see that happen, I just don't think it will- not in my lifetime anyway. A black person will probably make an excellent president, but I really feel like it just will not happen. I agree with Shannon d when she said will probably get a woman president before we get a black one. I believe many Americans feel like a black person is not competent enough to be president. I just don't see it happening.
