ADVANTAGES:

Slave-minded royal-worshippers have something to obsess over.

Ceremonial and real government duties never get confused.

DISADVANTAGES:

It costs half a billion a year to support a small royal family; a billion and a half per year to support an extended one.

They are always hogging the spotlight, even when important issues should be in front of the people.

Disadvantages: Absolut power corrupts absolutely
