my girlfriend is an immagrent, she dosnt have a visa, or a ss#. Is it true that if an american citizen adopts her that she will become an american citizan once the adoption is complete? And what age can you no longer be adopted at?

she is 18 I am 16 untill september, so marrage is kinda out of the question. For now.

it seems to me that this might be possible if she is under 18, and an orpahn or something. The legal fees of adoption will probably be high.

This quickest way to gain her citizenship is to marry you and live as husband and wife for two years. You can then apply for her citizenship.
