Since neither of the two dominant parties seem to care about the good of the country over the good of their party wouldn't it make sense to vote an independant in to office?

Our forefathers (you know, the guys who had the great idea about a free country to begin with) warned us about political parties. Instead of trusting their wisdom we created two parties almost immediately anyway.

Bearing that in mind, wouldn't it make sense to at least try a couple of independants? Could the possibly do any worse than any of our last three Presidents have done. If you were to consider voting independant who would you like to see run and why?

(If you don't know what you are talking about or if you don't vote anyway, please don't answer)

I see it almost every time I log in now. Some neoconservative dismisses something he disagrees with by saying, "I bet your college professor told you that", or words to that effect. Clearly this implies that the person making this statement believes that no educator or intellectual can be a reliable source of information. Why do you suppose they feel this way?

they're going to push for a minimum wage increase. and, conveniently, right in time for an election!
everyone get ready for the class war to begin. I'm really not trying to be mean, but that's what I see coming. I live in a state where minumum wage is far above the national standard, and guess what, the cost of living is higher! So go figure!

Over 1.5 valuable Armenian souls were lost during the Armenian Genocide led by the Ottoman Turks, and yet, Turkey denies it! They claim that Armenian's killed them. I'm sure but only for SELF DEFENSE! We have pictures of killings taking place and dead armenians (ranging in different age groups: unborn babies-the elderly) as proof (they were taken by German soldiers secretly) yet...all we hear is DENIAL DENIAL DENIAL! My heart aches when i think about this.My ancestors lost their lives in hope for the best of Armenians. Please, stand up with me and protest against all of this denial! If we all work together and help one another out,the truth WILL be accepted!By not accepting this unfortunate truth, we give the opportunity for history to repeat itself as it already has done numerous times! One example of this would be the Holocaust. Even the lack of action led to the Holocaust....in one of his speeches Adolf Hitler freely said:"Who still talks nowadays of the extermination of the Armenians?
