Can you tell me who are two very different presidents from the past? What's so different about them?

Buchanan & Lincoln.
Buchanan a Democrat ( only gay president ) tried to use the
Constitutional argruement over not freeing slaves - making both north & south mad. He botched the Kansas decision by alllowing them to be a slave owning territory instead of a slave free state.
When things kept going wrong, he hide in order to not have to make decisions.He basically made no decisions the last 18 months of office.He died 7 yrs after his term, leaving no wife or children. He was our only single President., but had a male friend live in White House with him..
Lincoln, a Republican & plantation owner tried to block the south from suceeding. He had slaves & had no intention of freeing slaves, but when that failed he changed his mind & decided to free all slaves. Although many believe he was responsible for starting Civil War, but he stood by his convictions. During war, he slept in bed with his bodyguard (a father of 9). Lincoln had 4 sons who were left after his assisnation.

corruption after the post war hero became an alchoholic. Basically a puppet
and
John Adams....

George Washington and Woodrow Wilson. GW advised that the USA avoid alliances and getting invoved in European wars, and Wilson jumped the USA into World War I right after he got reelected. Washington would not have approved, that is for dang sure.

Adams and Thomas Jefferson.
Adams was a Federalist, who believed in a loose interpretation on the constitution, while Thomas Jefferson believed in a strict interpretation of the constitution.

GW Bush and Jefferson. Jefferson was an incredible intellectual who invented many wonderful items; he was architect and the founder of the U. of Va among many other accomplishments. Bush is as dumb as a tree stump.

Bush 43 and Lincoln. One wanted equality, one takes it away. One was willing to die for his country. The other hid. One fought a civil war for freedom - one caused a civil war for oil. Stuff like that.
