It seems that a person that was born and bred here in America cant get the help and assistance from our government they need. But yet if an immigrant comes to live in this country they can get loans to start a business, get food and housing assistance and the list goes on. Do you think that for 1 minute if You and I move to another country, their government would help us get started? *ELL NO!

If you sent them all home, who will do their jobs? I see an awful lot of people on this site wanting the removal of all illegal immigrants. If this happened would it have a detremental effect on the US economy.

Remember this is a question, not a political view. I am not pushing a view either way.

For anyone who has seen 'An Incovenient Truth', do you agree or disagree with the film or global warming? Personally, I thought the film was quite compelling. The film has been properly vetted by the scentific community and the only scientific controversy might be within the ice cores used to date temperature back hundreds of thousands of years. However, the ice cores do not play that big a role in the film and are not used to prove any aspect of global warming. Is there anyone out here that does not see global warming as a problem? Or, see it as a vast left wing conspiracy? Should this be a Democrat vs. Republican issue?

Michael Berg, of Wilmington, DE, is running on the Green Party ticket. Some say that the reason he is running is because he is grieving for his son--the guy who was beheaded. He is critical of the Bush administration's policies concerning Iraq. What do you think? What are his chances of winning?

i mean look at it, alot of people say that there would be chaos and stealing and all that but if there wouldnt be laws and if they couldnt keep us under control, there would be no reason to do any of that. u could have anything u want without have to say give me that or i will kill you, u could have it with no problem and it would all together create a system of happiness, what do u think.

for possible malicious pursual for prosecution. Who do I make my complaint to about the unethical behavior of an Agent for Internal Affairs of the Department of Homeland Security. I suggest that the Agency has targeted me and pursued me by feeding the local prosecutors information that otherwise would have been moot. Due to my prior EEO complaint and the fact that I am a woman, made me their target. Who do I lodge a complaint to and what would you think would be my bestg wording of the complaint. PLEASE....no dumb-*** answers...I am a single parent with three kids to feed and I need good advice from someone intelligent! SO, please have some compassion and only submit your best intelligent response. Thank you!

Why would you rather argue that it is ok to be illegal, rather than apply for citizenship, or a work visa before you come (this requires a employer to be promising to give you a job) or if you are already here and doing something productive a FREE ACLU lawyer can easily gain you citzenship?

Not sure just what to think of it right now, but if you haven't seen it, and you're an American, you should, if no other reason than to educate yourself on other views of that day. Let me know what yout think.

I can't ! I speak English and 5 dialects of Spanish I have a collage education and score extremely high on tests. I'm here illegally because it's impossible to get a green card. Visas are also hard for those without the money. I could marry but would that be fair to her or me? Still no guarantee. The likelihood of me going home and living are very slim. I know you don't care maybe because you can't or don't want to believe we try to make it where we come from.

I've read alot of questions, and many of them are so rooted in bigotry I find myself really wondering about the American population at large. There is so much talk of religion and hatred and destruction based on religion, and fingers being pointed this way and that, but how many of these people really understand the issues? The only step between bigotry and terrorism is strapping a bomb to your chest. By perpetuating and spreading these beliefs we only worsen the situation and lessen others opinions of us as a nation. I wonder how many of these people who have no clue about the middle east actually voted... I wonder how many ask these questions to hear their own voices or to sound intelligent... I wonder how many of these questions are actually original and not some regurgitation of what a teacher or parent or spouse said... I understand in part now why our founders chose for our country to be a representative democracy instead of a true democracy... Does anyone feel the same way?

If W. Bush had have lost the election,2500 soldiers would still be alive.

If Gore had have won, 911 could have been prevented

Gore wouldn't have been on vacation when it happened

So, if you voted for Bush, You murdered 5 thousand people just to get a tax cut

Bush helps cut the C.I.A's hunt for Bin Laden task force.

Hamas and Hezbollah have both killed more Americans then Al-Qeada, and way more then Saddam. (which includes both gulf wars) yet no real funding for war against these more deadly terrorist groups.

Iran and Syria involved in more hostage taking and American killing then Saddam and every terrorist orginization combined.

Bush and the office of home land security named a donkey as a terrorist target. They named a small Indiana out house as a terrorist target. And they got millions in funding!!!

Bush says he doesn't "care about Bin Laden, he doesn't even cross my mind".

Who thinks Bush is doing a horrible job on terrorism?

P.S Al-Qeada waits for years to plan their attacks so don't use the old "we haven't been hit since 9/11" routine. We still got a few more years to go.

History has a strange way of repeating, i.e. Persian Gulf war started in August, WWI started in August, Gulf of Tonkin incident occurred in August. Korean war started in late June, but summer is prime time for conflict. It looks grim, IMO.

If you had sufficient money could you buy your way into power? If this statement is true, do you really live in a democracy?

I am aware you still have to get the majority of votes, but with enough media coverage anything is possible.

BTW, this is not necessarily a question specifically about the US. I think to idea is valid for most western democracies.
