Americans did finance the I.R.A. Irish Catholic Americans mostly.

P.S. and it seems you also have, living in America, people who the Brits consider to be terrorists.

A majority of Northern Irelanders want to remain part of the UK...however i'm bias, as my parents are from Shankill Rd which is a unionist area of Belfast.

Americans gave a lot of money to the IRA back in the day, without the prospect of any oil.
